Tina's take ont Game 4 of the Flyers and Sabres:

I can sum up last night's game in one word. GRRRRR!!! But I'm not bitter. Not at all.  The game started out pretty poorly in the first place. The Flyers were playing pretty bad and the Sabres were pressuring us in our end.  In the first few minutes the Sabres already had a goal, which should have counted, but it was disallowed because the ref had already blown play dead since he couldn't see the puck.  That was I think the only lucky break we had the entire night.  The Sabres then scored on a five-on-three powere play a little more than two minutes into the first period. Then the Sabres started pounding our guys and what seemed like intentionally trying to hurt our guys.  The Flyers were unable to capitalize on any of the power play opportunities in the first period unfortunately. Even the four minute power play when Satan hit Tocchet under the eye with his stick.  Intentional.  The second period started off just as bad with the Sabres scoring in the first minute of the game. The next incident involved Alexei Zhitnik. He swung his stick with one hand and smacked Langkow in the side of the head with his stick.  If you saw the replay you would know how vicious a hit this was.  You could tell how hard Langkow was hit by the way his head whipped to the side afterwards. It was harsh.  Fortunately he wasn't seriously hurt. I would have to personally go after Znitnik and kill him if Langkow was hurt. Langkow is the shit.  Anyway, after Zhitnik was given a double minor and Langkow was given a roughing penalty for pushing Zhitnik.  That was bullshit. HOw did he get a penalty? He could have been seriously injured by that hit and he was put in the penalty box.  BULLSHIT!!!!! The Flyers were able to capitalize on this power play and cut our deficit in half. At the end of the period Rick Tocchet scored tying the game up.  In the third not a whole lot happened. The Sabres showed their best acting and did some dives.  I liked the comment by the announcers when Hasek got hit with Delmore's stick. "If this were the Oscar's he didn't even get a nomination."  Great acting by their side.  At the end of regulation Primeau pulled Zhitnik down but there was no call and to retaliate Zhitnik elbowed Primeau in the head and the Flyers ended regualtion and started overtime with a power play.  The Flyers lost in OT when a shot by Stu Barnes beat goalie Brian Boucher.  It was a pretty poor game for the Flyers and hopefully they can get the win on home ice tomorrow. GO FLYERS!!!!!!!!!

Lissa's additions:
The Buffalo Sabres are a bunch of cry babies; they fit well with their fans. They took this no goal thing way to far. I understood it last year because the Hull goal cost them the cup. But I agree with Lindy Ruff when he said that they had more than enough time to come back and win that game.  As for this diving thing, the took that way too far. It was reserached and found that no penalties were called as a result of Recchi's so called diving. Although I'll have to admit that Dixon Ward's display at the end of the 2nd period had me rolling on the ground. Does anyone have a pic of that? And then there is the comment that Recchi is buddy-buddy with the refs. Why are they targeting Recchi? Any body care to share?
And has anyone noticed that they are intentionally trying to hurt our guys.  Me and Tina counted I believe 7 of our guys that did not get up right away in the last 2 games: Eaton, White, Tocchet, Primeau, McGillis, Langkow, and one more that's not coming to me.  Let me say that I hate Gratton for the hit he put on my man, Eaton.
And if anyone's counting it's at least two years in a row that we had to worry about cry babies, last year there was Pat Quinn. All I have to say is GROW UP!!!!

Tina's Take on the last Flyers Game

Okay here is what I think of the last game. I think that the Flyers started off playing very poorly in the first period. They let the Devils set up in the Flyers zone creating the opportunity for them to score their first goal. I think that this made the Flyers work a little harder but then came the hit on lindros that knocked him out of the game. Okay, I know that everyone says that the hit on Lindros was clean but I beg to differ. It looked dirty to me. I think that that is a play by the New Jersey Devils to help them get ahead in the game. Give them the upper hand if you will. If you look at the hit on Lindros then compare it to the hit that gave Langkow a concussion in the second game of the series you will notice that the two hits are almost exactly alike. They look tooo similar to just be a coincidence. From what I understand it is something also done during the Toronto series. You can be sure I will be watching the Dallas series to find out if he is going to do it to any of their players. Just hopefully not Mike Modano. Anyway, after the first period the Flyers came back in the second period with better defense and stronger offense and were able to capitalize on that by scoring a power play goal. Then in the third period they just sat back on the lead and let them take over. It was like they handed the win to the Devils. If they had just put it away in the fifth game instead of dragging it out to the seventh game we would be the pones in the Stanley Cup Finals instead of Jersey. But since we aren't I have only one thing to say:  GO DALLAS!!!!!!!

The Shore

Okay, so we had a lot of fun down the shore over the weekend. It was lots of fun. However, there was one word that could describe the whole experience: BITTER! We were so bitter over a bunch of different things. First of all about the Flyers game. That sucked pretty bad. Then about the weather. It rained almost the whole time we were there. But that didn't matter. We still had fun. OKay, so because we were so bitter about the Flyers losing we decided to wear our Flyers jerseys on the boardwalk for the rest of the weekend. We wanted to see how many comments we could get from people about what we were wearing. We actually set our goal at around 30. We got way more than that. We actually got a final total of 114 different comments from people about the Flyers. Not all necessarily were good. There were a few people who got a little pissed and shouted lets go devils but we would have none of that. It was definitely interesting. The people there were really cool and lots of cute guys like always. So, when we develop our pictures we will post some of the things that we did while we were there. It was definitely interesting. Oh, and on a side note: Melissa got pooped on while we were on the boardwalk. She was not happy about that and she will probably kill me for writing it here. I have one thing to say Lissa: BRING IT ON!!!!!!!!! (with the fingers)
