ACTIVITIES
The B.Tech.
Degree program offered by the Institute includes courses in Basic Chemical
Engineering & Technology, General Engineering, Seminars, Dissertation
and Projects, Summer inplant training, and also electives like Computer
Aided Design ( CAD ), Human Resource Management ( HRM ) and
Entrepreneurship to facilitate an all round understanding of their
field of study.
In addition
to regular academic courses, students are involved in technical pursuits
like paper presentations, design contests, and technical quizzes. Students
organize and participate in inter & intra collegiate festivals,
cultural activities, debates and even have their own fortnightly
wallpaper. Guest lectures are organized as a part of Personality
Development Forum to promote interaction between students and
professionals from all the walks of life. They, thus get an opportunity to
develop various facets of their personality and blossom as complete
individuals.
INSTITUTE - INDUSTRY INTERACTION
Our interaction with industry is not merely restricted to placements alone
but more importantly, in training students and promoting their development
through their formative years at the institute. Our excellent relationship
with industry has also led to placement of our graduates in a wide variety
of companies. We have a consistent placement of above 80% for the
past many years. Our alumni have carved a niche for themselves in industry
and academic circles and hold leadership positions worldwide.
They handle positions of responsibility in various spheres including
production, designing, consultancy, marketing, software and automation
engineering. With applications revolving around mechanical,
electrical, civil and software engineering, our engineers lay credence to
the fact that Chemical Engineers are indeed Universal
Engineers.
Graduate engineers today consider jobs in the software sector as fast
track careers and the industry is always thirsty for fresh talent. Also
our basic technical knowledge can provide an extra flexibility in
specialized areas.
