China Girls

He likes to break
the pretty china dolls.
Rips their delicate hearts of flesh
from their delicate porcelain chests.
Likes to rearrange the furniture.
Likes to slowly move their worlds.
He’s their master,
I’m their string.
He’s their master,
I’m their string.

He likes to break
the pretty china dolls.
Tiny hands fold around his fingers
and he has them in his palms.
He’s their master,
I’m their string.
He’s their master,
I’m pulling.
Likes to put them
in the living room.
Likes to sit them
at the table.
He likes to break
the pretty china dolls.

His China Girls-

Their tiny hearts,
and tiny hands,
and tiny innocence
glittering in their eyes.
Likes to rip their hearts of flesh
from their delicate porcelain chests
until their fingers cease to fold.
Until the innocence
ceases to glitter there.
