V. Water

Dearest Seraiah,
         You wear emotions as you wear hats. A sparkling hat to draw attention, a sexy hat to get what you want out of men, a bright pastel hat to hide your true feelings, a dark and droopy hat to hide your true intentions. You can dive into and come out of them with a pace almost to match that of your hectic life. But as the police officer will have to hand you this letter, seeing as you’re in the hospital, do you not think perhaps sometimes you let yourself be swept away?
         When I needed someone who is effective with the element of Water, I was drawn straight to you. Was it another hat, Serah, when you told your mother you had your life under control an hour before you tried to kill yourself? Or can you control your emotions? Can you harness them, channel them to do some good?
         It won’t be easy. There will be little personal gain and great hardships, but so many will prosper from your sacrifice. Can you give of yourself freely?
         Come to claim Water as your own. On Thursday at 7 pm at Café Sin across the street from the university you will meet others who are about to share in your sacrifice. They will need you, more than anything else, to succeed. Use your extensive wardrobe of hats to dress yourself to what they need.
         I don’t know that your life will become better for you, but I do believe it will. I have faith in you.
