UpNotes

Tabitha was originally listed as Joshua, but is listed as Tabitha Trafton in her father's will. She may have had an illegitimate child as her father cancelled her dept "for raising Eliphalet Perkins."

Abraham and Isaac are twins.

John kept a journal which is now held by the Wells-Ogunquit Historical Society. In this journal he recorded family events and events from the Revolution, including the Convention at Saratoga. His son John (6) and John's (6) son Josiah (7b) also wrote in this journal, which makes it very confusing to read and has many conflicting dates. Eventually I intend to have a copy of it on-line.

John fought in the Revolution and obtained the rank of Lt. Colonel. He was at Saratoga. His miltary record is:

Major, 2nd York Co. regiment, MA militia; commissioned 30 Aug 1775.

Chosen 1st Major, York Co. regiment, MA militia; commissioned 22 Apr 1776.

Major, Lt. Colonel Joseph Storer's Brigade.

Chosen Lt. Colonel 1st York Co. regiment, MA militia; commissioned 10 Jun 1778.

He is buried in an unmarked grave in a pine grove on his old farm on Tatnic Rd., Wells, ME

Marriage date also given as 3 Nov 1749
