Banana Cake

Ingredients:
2 and half cups all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon baking soda
2 eggs
1 pinch salt
1/2 cup unsalted butter
3/4 cup white sugar
3/4 cup light brown sugar
2/3 cup buttermilk
4 ripe mashed bananas
1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)


Method:
1. Preheat oven to 350F or 175C. Grease and flour (or just put foil in my case!) two 8inch round pans
2. In a small bowl, whisk flour, baking soda, salt. Set aside
3. In a large bowl, cream butter, white sugar and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
Beat in eggs one at a time.
Mix in bananas
4. Add flour mixture alternately with the buttermilk to the creamed mixture. Stir in chopped walnuts
5. Pour batter into pans and bake in oven for 30 minutes
