Seasons

"The summer air reminds me of, all the feelings of your love and what it was like when we were together.."

Joel sighed and opened his front door. The warm summer air blew against his face and reminded him of Skye. He closed the door and headed to the beach.

"Walking all along the beach, you were never far from my reach.."

Joel stood in the sand, his shoes lay abandoned in the sand. He walked to the shoreline, his pants rolled up to his knees. Joel stepped in to the cool water and stood watching the sun set. He felt a drop of water on his head, which was soon followed by a distant rumble of thunder.

"And you held me through stormy weather.."

Joel grabbed his shoes and ran through the rain. He reached the little cafe near the beach and sat on the couch by the window. He remembered sitting there with Skye on another very similar rainy day. They stayed there for hours and she held him tightly until the storm had left.

"Laying in the summer grass, you told me not to talk so fast as I told you how I feel.."

Joel walked out of the cafe when the rain had turned in to a light drizzle. He passed by the grassy park where he and Skye had laid one summer day.It was where he had told her how much he loved her.

"You made me feel right at home, you told me I was not alone and you knew just how I feel.."

Joel shook his head and walked by the park. He remembered Skye's exact words when he had told her. She made him feel happy,he thought she loved him too.

"I know we talked about it, I just can't get around it, I just want one more night with you.."

Joel thought back to when he and Skye had that long talk about their feelings for each other. Joel couldn't get around the fact that she wanted to leave him. He thought she had felt the same but Skye denied it. Joel remembered how crushed he was when Skye walked out... he just wanted one more night with her.

"October air reminds me of, all the feelings of your love and what it was like when we were together.."

Joel sat on his porch swing, watching the leaves fall from the trees. The cool October air blew through his hair, the multicolored leaves blew along with it. A leaf hit his sneaker and Joel picked it up and began to tear it. As he watched the little bits fly in to the air he thought of all the October nights he had sat outside with Skye.

"The smell of fall is everywhere, and though it seems I just don't care 'cause now you've gone away..."

Joel watched a squirrel scurry along the leaf covered ground, a acorn in it's hands. He sighed, breathing in the sweet smell of fall. He could care
less about the scent, he just wanted Skye to come back. He glanced up the street, and his heart skipped a beat. That couldn't be Skye, could it?

"And I want to fall in love tonight, and I remember when you said,'everything is going to be alright'"

Joel stood up and leant over the railing of his pourch. He saw her, Joel was positive it was Skye. She started to run up the street when she saw him and Joel ran to greet her. She ran in to his arms and he held her close. It felt so good to be holding her in his arms. As the sun set, Joel whispered softly, " I want to fall in love tonight."

Skye squeesed him tightly and kissed his cheek, whispering back,"Everything is going to be alright."
