"Brrrrrr... pet meeee..."
"Me hungry. ah ah ah..."
"Haha... me no see you."

Bobby, who was passing by to go to dinner, stopped at the entrance to Hank's lab to look in curiously.
"Hank?"he asked.
"Woahh... big sound!"came the reply of a tiny slightly annoying voice.
"Shhhhh Robert. You startled Koo Moo."Hank said repremandingly. He was sitting at his lab table staring intently at the white and black Furby on the table in front of him.
Bobby stepped into the lab and came to stand next to Hank.
"Oh God. You have a Furby!"He groaned.
"Yes I have a Furby, it was a gift from Rogue for my birthday. What of it?"
Hank asked pushing his spectacles up on his nose and giving the little creature a pat on the back. It purred. Hank smiled in delight.
Bobby rolled his eyes.
"Those things are annoying, they sound like Elroy off of the Jetsons."
Bobby shook his head and crossed his arms over his chest.
"Yes for barbarians like yourself, but for we cultured, enlightened beings it is a very cute and marvelous toy."
"Allright Mr Big brain... you'll see.  They start out cute, then they get annoying.
"Bobby grinned.
"Weren't you going somewhere Robert?"Hank asked pointedly.
"Yeah to dinner. You do still eat don't you?"
Hanks' stomach growled. He looked down. "Humm... It appears I do."
He stood gently picking up the Furby and placing it in the palm of his big hand. "Weeeeee."The Furby said. "Again!"
"You're not taking that upstairs are you?"Bobby asked in exasperation.
"Of course. I'm not leaving Koo Moo down here alone."Hank said with a blank look.
"It's just a toy Hank. It doesn't get lonely."
"Your point?
"Hank asked.
Bobby sighed and tried once again. "Logan hates those you know. It won't live very long if you take it up there."
"Logan will not touch my Koo Moo
"Hank said giving the creature a loving pat on the head and holding it close to his body.
"Fine but I'm not helping you bury it and I won't say the eulogy."
"Pffft.
"Hank said.

"Ahh ahh ahh... me hungry... ring ring... ring ring... woah... me no see you!"
They had tried to ignore it for the better part of an hour. The Furby's constant joyful, yet annoying voice bit by bit began to get to them. Logan was having visions of the Furby's dismantled body in the trash can. ;)
Storm was wondering if lightning would make it expode into little pieces and Rogue was wishing she had gotten Hank another... quieter birthday present.
All eyes at the dinner table finally turned to glare at Hank. He had been paying attention only to his Furby and hadn't noticed.
"Hank."Storm said.
He didn't hear her.
"Hank."she said louder.
He still didn't respong.
"HANK!!!"Storm yelled.
Hank looked up startled... "What?"
"Hank. Please turn the Furby off."Storm said calmly.
"You cannot turn Furbies off. You can put them to sleep, or take the batteries out. They do not go off."Hank guestured with the Furby in his hand and it went. "Weeeeee... again!"
The look on Logan's face said he did know how to turn it off.
"Ah knew ah shoulda got him a nice quiet plant instead."Rogue muttered.
"Well take the batteries out Hank...or put it to sleep."Scott said.
Hank was aghast. "Take out the batteries? Are you insane? I've just gotten him speaking english instead of furbish. I will not take the batteries out of my Koo Moo. I shall put him to sleep."
Hank held his hand over the Furby's face untill it began to snore. It fell asleep. "There you see?"Hank said with a smile.
The Furby woke up again. It was only pretending to be asleep. "ah hahaha..."It giggled.
Hank laughed. "How cute it was play sleeping."
SNIKT
All at once Logan's claws slid out and he dove across the table toards the Furby. Hank reacted instantly, he grabbed the Furby and jumped for the chandolier above the table grasping it with his free hand just as Logan slid past where he had just been.Logan jumped to his feet
"Weeeee again!" said Furby.
"Really Logan." Hank sniffed. "That was uncalled for."
"Woah...woah... Hug meee" Koo Moo said. Hank hugged his Furby and stared down at the other X-men.
He swung from the chandolier down to the ground by the door.
"Very well. I shall take my Koo Moo away from you bloodthirsy people. Au revoir."
"oooh... me scared."
Said Furby.
"Ah shoulda gotten him a plant" Rogue said again.

"Weeee... me no see you... ring ring... ah ha ha... snort... ah ah hah snort."
Hank pulled his head up from his computer keyboard... he had fallen asleep somehow...
He was sure he had put Koo Moo to sleep. He looked over to the Furby. Its eyes were closed it wasn't moving. Then where had the sound come from? Maybe he was hearing things. Hank turned back to his comptuer.
"Yadda da da dada ... whomm bom bom... whoom bomm bom... brrum brum brum."
Hank looked up.
Again... the Furby was motionless. He turned away again.
"Humm...boring."
Hank quickly turned his head and caught the Furby closing it's eyes. Puzzled he stood and moved to where the Furby was sitting.
"Strange. I put you to sleep." Hank squinted down at the Furby.
He was startled when the creature's eyes slowly opened.
"Whoooooo..." it said.
Hank backed up a little, getting an uneasy feeling. It stared at him with its green eyes and didn't move. Hank gave it a thorough examination, then with a shrugg put it to sleep again. He went back to his computer. The Furby said no more.

The next day Hank left his lab to get some lunch. Bobby came in to see Hank and found only Koo Moo sitting on the table eyes closed and unmoving.
"Hank?" Bobby called. "Hank are you in here?"
No response. He stopped by the Furby on the table and stared at it.
"There you are you annoying little thing. Where's Hank." he said it more to himself than the Furby.
Suddenly the Furby's eyes opened. "Whooooooooo..." It said spookily.
Bobby jumped.
"Annoying litttle thing." Said Koo Moo.
Bobby jumped. "Hey you're not supposed to talk without being woken up!"
"Whooooo... I seeeee yooouuuuu"said Furby. To Bobby's continuing surprise
It began to move untill it was hopping forward on the table, its little mouth snapping together. "I seee youuuu..."
Bobby jumped back with a yell. He ran from the room, almost knocking down Hank as he shot down the hall.
"Well... really how rude." Hank said looking back towards bobby. "What in the world got into him." Hank looked back at Koo Moo.
The Furby was sitting asleep... just where Hank had left him.

That night while Hank slept in his room, Rogue snuck in quietly and nabbed Koo Moo from Hank's bedside table.
She stood outside the door... prize in hand where Bobby waited for her."That thing is posessed or something." Bobby said backing away from the Furby.
"Ah come on Bobby. Hank probably rewired it ta scare ya if ya ever tried to hurt it." Rogue waved it away. "Ah'm a gonna do a little rewiring of mah own. Namely ta the voice box." She stared down the hall with the Furby.
Abruptly it's eyes opened and it went "WHOOOOOOO" loudly.
Rogue stopped. "What the... ah didn't wake it up."
"Ah'm gonna rewire yoooouuuuu..." Said the Furby. Rogue dropped it. It hit the ground compelty unharmed and began to move right for them.
"Ah'm gonna possess yoouuu......" It hobbled across the floor its little mouth chomping.
"Wahaaa?" Rogue exclaimed floating into the air. Bobby ran down the hall... "Hellllpppp!!!!!" he screamed.
The commotion woke Hank who opend the door quickly. "What in blue blazes!!" Hank complained.
"Hank yur Furby, it's..." Rogue started.
They looked to the Furby. It was lying on it's side, asleep.
"How dare you kidnapp my Koo Moo!" Hank exclaimed angrily. "If you had wanted it instead you should have just kept it... or bought yourself one."
Hank huffed and collected his Furby into his arms. "Oh my poor Koo Moo... did
the nasty people hurt my Koo moo??"
he said lovingly to it. He returned to his room, muttering all the way. Just as he slamed the door behind him, they could see the Furby open its eyes and give them a smug look, its little beak snapping a few times.

Rogue and Bobby reported the incident to the others but were greeted with laughter.
"It may be annoying Rogue but it is not evil." Scott laughed.
"Furbies cannot do that. They are programmed to say certain words and nothing more." Storm agreed.
"But ahh... ahh..." Rogue said.
' We... I... It" Bobby said.
"Leave Hank's Furby alone you two. It's his toy." Scott dismissed them.
As the others filed out Rogue and Bobby looked at one another.
"We'll need proof if we're ever going to make them belive us." Bobby said.
"Ah have an idea"

Video recorder in hand Rogue and Bobby set out to find Hank's evil Furby again. Hank was not in his lab but his Furby was. Bobby grabbed the Furby and shook it.
It's eyes opened. "Ah... okay... me up!" it said in it's normal happy voice.
Puzzled Bobby leaned closer to the Furby.
"Koo moo. Say something."
"Woah big sound!"
it exlaimed joyfully.
Rogue put the camera down and tried it. Nothing. After a few minutes the Furby went back to sleep on it's own.
Exasperated, Rogue and Bobby left.
Koo Moo opened his eyes. "Whooooo..."

Then things really began to get creepy.

Rogue was sitting in her room reading when she heard an eerie. "Whooooooo"
She sat up and looked around.
"What the..." she said.
Koo Moo was sitting on the end of her bed... staring at her with wide eyes.
"Whoooooooooooo" He said again.
Rogue screamed and threw her book at it. The Furby jumped off of the bed to the ground and scooted out the door. Up in by the ceiling Rogue watched its receeding form with wide frightened eyes. She did not leave there for quite
awhile.

Bobby was sitting at his computer answering e-mail when a noise made him look up and turn around. Right on the floor behind him was Koo Moo. Looking right up at him with eerie eyes.
"Whoooooooo." said Koo Moo.
"YOW!!!" Bobby yelled scrambling up to stand in his chair.
"Whooooooooo" said Koo Moo.
"Helllp!!!" Bobby screamed louder... "Evil Furby!!!"
"Bobby what in the world are you yelling about!" came Logan's gruff voice from outside the doorway.
"Logan help! Evil Furby!" Bobby looked up to the doorway, then back down to the floor to see the Furby gone.
"Evil Furby?" Logan asked incredulously coming into the room. "If this is a prank I'll rip your arms off and beat you with them."
"No prank it was here!"
Bobby chanted hysterically... "It was sitting there on the floor going..woooooo!! Like that..and then it just... poof... dissappeared..."
Logan blinked. "You wanna repeat that?"
"The Furby it was... it was right there!"
Bobby insisted pointing to where the Furby had been.
Logan blinked again. "Yer loosin it kid." He simply turned and left.
"No logan... wait... come baaaaaahahhaak!" Bobby shrieked.
Then he heard the "Whoooooooo..." and he turned to see the Furby sitting right on the table beside his computer.
Bobby screamed again and ran out of the room.

Bobby was huddled in a frightened ball on top of the tallest object he could find, Rogue wouldn't come down from the ceiling.
"My Koo Moo did that, surely you jest." Hank said gesturing to the Furby sitting quietly asleep on the table in front of him.
"Their fear is real Hank, I don't think they both imagined it."
Scott said with a stern look. "Is this another prank?"
"Prank? Why would I play a prank on Rogue who bought me the gift in the first place? Bobby has not pulled any pranks on me lately... no reason for me to pull one myself. I've no time for pranks Scott." Hank dismissed it.
"Well it's something. I thought ice boy was joking but that's real fear up there. Gotta wonder what a Furby could do ta scare two X-men." Logan said, flipping some ash from his cigar.
Hank thought back to the night his Furby had awakened on its own but the thought of an evil toy Furby was to absurd for him to believe.
"It is just a toy. I do not see how it could do all of the things you describe."
Hank protested.
"Neither do we. But something happened." Jean reasoned.
"Well until I view this with my own eyes I will not take the batteries out of my Koo Moo." Hank grasped his Furby and headed for the door.

That night he sat Koo Moo on his bedside table and shut off the lamp to go to sleep.

Koo moo began to move in the dark. It hopped across the table to sit and stare at Hank's sleeping form. Then it lept from the table, hopped to the bed and then down to the floor. As quietly as it could It hopped across the floor and to the door. The door wasn't closed all the way so Koo Moo used one of his little feet to push it open..and he hopped down the hall... towards Rogue's room. A few seconds later, Hank stepped out of the doorway and followed after the Furby.

Rogue was trying to get some sleep. She tossed and she turned, but she still couldn't get that creepy Furby image out of her head. She let out a frustrated sigh and began to mentally count backwards... trying to forget the Furby.
That's when she heard it. "Whooooooooooo"
Bathed in the sparse light from her bathroom, the Furby sat on the edge of her bed and glared at her.
Rogue screamed. The Furby jumped at her, but it was stopped by Hank.
"Stars and Gathers!!" Hank exclaimed holding the strugling, snarling... still snapping Furby in his hands.
"Ah told ya!! It's evil!!" Rogue yelled jumping out of the bed and shaking a fist at the Furby.
Hank struggled to keep the Furby from attacking Rogue. For such a little toy creature it had an enormous amount of strength.
"I do not believe this. Koo Moo... stop it this instant!"
"Whooooooo!!"
it shrieked and jumped out of Hank's grasp skittering for the door.
Rogue and Hank looked at one another... "Bobby!" they said in unison.
Down the hall Bobby started to yell.
Rogue and Hank ran for his room and found him running around the room with the Furby chasing him.
"Bobby freeze it!" Hank called grabbing a pillow and throwing it at the Furby knocking the creature into the wall.
Bobby got his wits together and froze it in place.
The creature snapped wildy and went "Woooooooo!!!!!" Again and again. All three stood watching in amazment.
"This is just flabergasting... how could a toy do such... " Hank murmered kneeling before the Furby.
"Ah'mm gonna gettt youoooouuu!!" The Furby glared at Hank.
"Ah think he's mad at you Hank." Rogue shuttered.
"Indeed... Bobby do you have a screw driver?"
Bobby found one in a desk drawr and tossed it at Hank... making sure he didn't get near the Furby.
"My apologies my friends. I will simply dismantle Koo Moo."
"Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!"
The Furby began to growl. It's eyes got red. Hank backed up.
"What the heck is going on in here!!" Logan grumbed stepping in the door... just as the Furby broke loose from the ice and made a mad dash for anyone it could target. Logan reacted instantly, his claws sliding out. He sliced Koo Moo in half
just as the Furby got near him. Still Impaled on Logan's claws the Furby snapped its beak a few more times, it's feet wiggled..then it slowly died, the red light dimming in it's evil eyes.
"Whooooooooo... grrrrrrrrr..." it said...and then was gone.
Logan simply looked to Rogue, Bobby and Hank.
"Somebody wanna tell me just what the heck's going on?"

"I took what was left of Koo Moo apart. I could find nothing that would cause such behavior. For all intensive purposes it was a normal toy. I cannot tell you what happened." Hank said. He took of his spectacles and wiped them on his lab coat.
The X-men looked at one another and shuttered.
"What did you do with it?" Professor X asked.
"To prevent further incidents like this... I took it apart as thorougly as I could... and I buried the pieces in the back yard." Hank sighed. "And it was such an amusing little toy."
"Next time... yoah getting a plant."
Rogue said shaking her head.

Hank went back to his lab that night, and was working on his computer. The only light on in his lab was the one in the next room. A few times he thought he heard scraping but ignored it. A few seconds later a little shadow appeard on the view screen in front of him. A small round shadow.
"Whooooooooooo"
Hank turned to see the Furby, nothing but a skeleton and covered in dirt trailing leaves, and grass on the table behind him. It's big eyes were red and glaring at him... what was left of it's beak began to snap.
"Oh dear."
The Furby lept at him and Hank screamed.

Then Hank sat up screamign in his bed in his bedroom. He quickly turned on the bedside light to see Koo Moo... asleep sitting on the table beside him. It had all been a bad dream. Hank let out a sigh and turned around to his side, to try and go back to sleep.
That's when Koo Moo's eyes opened, glowing red... and he went... "Whoooooooo!!!!!"
