Rogue and the X-Men are the property of Marvel"This is so totally boring." Jubilee announced, tossing her copy of
Seventeen to the floor.
Paige tossed her own magazine aside. "I know, but Sean told me to keep watch.
Why don't you find a movie?"
"Cuz I watched them all." Jubilee replied sulkily. "Want something to
munch?"
"Some Pringles if Angelo left us any." Paige replied. Jubilee nodded and
disappeared from the room.
She took the stairs two at a time, and hurried into the kitchen. As she rummaged
through the cupboards, there was a loud bang upstairs and everything around her
shook. "What the heck?" Jubilee declared poking her head out the door.
Then the proximity alarm went off. "A little late for that." She
muttered.
Paige screamed upstairs, and Jubilee took off running. The ground lurched under
her feet, as another detonation shook the building. A loud wailing came from
behind her as Banshee screamed his way towards the second floor. He grabbed
Jubilee by the wrists before she could fall, and toted her along.
Paige screamed again, as the wall exploded inward, and she slammed into another.
A man floated outside the void eyes searching. "Ah my Sleeping Beauty. 'Tis
time we forsake this unfitting locale."
"I donnae think so. Paige are ye alright lass?"
"Yes, I'm fine." She said standing, already shedding her skin to reveal
diamond hard gleaming metal underneath.
"Who the heck are you?" Jubilee demanded, moving in front of Rogue.
"My name is unimportant, child. Kindly remove yourself, before I do so for
you."
"I don't think so." Jubilee replied sending a burst of pyrokinetic sparks
at the sorcerers' face.
Caderahn hissed as the embers struck his skin. "Impudent child. Be gone!
Iragaa Tanu!" A burst of wind and sparks simultaneously struck her, and sent
her crashing into the wall. Jubilee groaned, but did not get up.
"That was a mistake." Sean said. "Waaaaaaaaaa!" Banshee's wailing
sent the intruder flying through the wall. "Come on Rogue, it's time we
left." Banshee muttered leaning down to scoop the woman up.
"Tanaa Mirakk!" A blast of fire slammed into Sean Cassidy from behind,
the heat blistering the skin on his back. Luckily darkness engulfed him before
he could suffer.
Paige alone was left to defend Rogue. Paige Guthrie advanced on the sorcerer,
swung her fist at him and caught him in the side of the head. Caderahn glared at
her, as she raised her fist again. "I do not think so. Diraa!" Paige
froze in mid-stride.
A look of alarm passed over her face. She was paralyzed, she couldn't move.
Quickly she decided that waking Rogue was her only option. "Rogue! Wake up!
Hurry! Please Rogue you gotta wake up!" Paige cried desperately. Rogue
moaned as if struggling to wake from a nightmare, but was unable.
"Cease your petty whimpering. I have won this contest." Ignoring Paige's
cries, the sorcerer, settled on the ground, and approached the motionless
Mississippian. In one smooth movement, He placed a glimmering pendant about her
neck, picked her up, and they both disappeared.
