ORDER OF ST. AMBROSE ALCC
The Order of St. Ambrose is a Prelature of the Anglo-Lutheran Catholic Church.  Its mission is to continue the work of transmitting the Apostolic Lineages of the Order of Corporate Reunion (O.C.R.) established by order of Pope Pius IX in 1877, in the Lutheran and Anglican Families of Churches with the goal of facilitating their visible, corporate reunion with the Bishop and Church of Rome as promoted through the Order of Corporate Reunion established by Pope Pius IX, and expressed by Pope John Paul II in his Encyclical Letter, Ut Unum Sint, May 5, 1995; to the end that Jesus Christ's prayer in the Garden of Gethsemenae that his followers might all be one as He and the Father are one, may once more become a lived reality.

This goal is to be accomplished as follows: (1) By restoring the Priesthood in the Orders of Deacons, Priests, and Bishops in the true and valid historic Apostolic Succession of the One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church across individual Church boundries, to clergy of the Lutheran and Anglican Churches whose Apostolic Lineages are or may be  questionable or which do not ordain clergy into the historic Apostolic Succession; and who also personally uphold the traditionalist orthodox Catholic Faith, Tradition, worship, and spirituality; to the end that the valid Priesthood and valid Sacraments recognized as such by the Bishop and Church of Rome will once more be ubiquitous among the Lutheran and Anglican Churches, contribute to their eventual visible, corporate reunion with the Bishop and Church of Rome.  (2) By contributing to the mission of evangelization by spreading theologically orthodox, Catholic faith, tradition, worship, and spirituality.  (3)  By promoting among its members and among faithful Christians a daily life fully consistent with the Christian Faith in the ordinary conditions of life through faith, prayer, worship, study, and by means of the sanctification of their daily work.

Categories of membership are open to members of other Churches who want to participate in great work of ending the visible, corporate divisions in Christ's Church.
