My heart was sad, my spirits low, I felt at my wits end

Nothing helped to ease the pain or put my heart to mend

All alone and isolated from the world outside

I sat inside this empty house and every day I cried

Then one day without a word, a rope was handed down

Finally I had some hope and searched a chat room out

People there were very nice and I made many friends

Her name was Cassy but I thought, "She's way out of my league!"

Several months had passed since then, our friendship now had grown

I had strong feelings for her but she had another beau

Then one day I got a chance to meet her face to face

Nervously I hopped a bus, my heart began to race

She walked up as I arrived and what a pretty sight

Holding hands in the park, we could have talked all night

The fire in our hearts grew fast as everyday passed by

No longer tears of sadness but of joy that I now cried
