National Day of Mourning

On September 11, 2001, people all over the world had been glued to their television sets
and witnessed the attack of America. When we write September 11 in numbers, it becomes 911 which is the emergency number for North America (like 110 in Japan).

To honour the victims of this horrific tragedy, President of the U.S., proclaimed last Friday September 14, 2001 as a National Day of Mourning.

At 12:20 p.m. eastern North American time on last Friday, we observed three minutes of silence. We joined millions around the world in respect for those lost and those they have left behind.

During this terrible time, my only support is an old song -- We Shall Overcome.

We shall overcome,
we shall overcome,
We shall overcome someday!
Oh, deep in my heart I do believe
We shall overcome someday!

This was the song that people sang during the civil rights movement in the 60s. We
Shall Overcome
gives me power to believe that we can overcome the grief of hate and revenge
from the attack of America.

Please fight terror with justice and give peace a chance.
Peace on earth!

If you would like to listen to We Shall Overcome by dudley mix, please go to We Shall
Overcome
's English web page, or to its Japanese web page at MP3.com.

My sincere condolences to those lost and those they have left behind.
