IN-DEPTH:  The Mutt Cavy
There are mutt dogs, and there are mutt cavies.  They can not be classified as one breed or another or cannot be shown because of mismarkings..
Grooming: Their grooming is varied.  If they are shorthaired or abyssinian-like you can brush them with a toothbrush.  For longer haired cavies or teddy-like cavies, use a slicker brush.  Bathe as necessary.
Temperment: It varies on what breed they are or are mixed with, but most are well-tempered.  Like the mutts of the dog world, they are usually friendly and loving.
Appearance: Their apperance varies.  They could look like Rusty (above), an aby with missing rosettes.  They could be a mix between two breeds.  They could be a shorthair with a stray rosette on its back.  Or they could be a mutt because of their color.  They could be a black Dutch with a brown spot on its head.
Lifespan: Like all cavies, the mutts live 3-6 years, but can live longer if well taken care of. Satins tend to have a shorter lifespan.
