THE STORY

The Doctor and Romana visit the famed Leisure Hive on the planet Argolis, the surface of which is uninhabitable following a twenty-minute nuclear war with their enemies the Foamasi. The Argolins are now sterile, and Pangol, the youngest, is a product of the Tachyon Recreation Generator, a machine that runs games in the Hive. Pangol now intends to use the generator to recreate himself many times over, to form an army with which to destroy the Foamasi.

Pangol's mother, Mena, the controller of the facilities, is under pressure from a human financer called Brock to sell the Hive to the Foamasi. Brcok and his assistant Klout are really disguised members of the renegade Foamasi group called the West Lodge. Members of the Foamasi government arrive and arrest them, while the Doctor reconfigures the Generator with components from the randomiser device fitted to the TARDIS. Pangol is regressed back to an infant, while Mena is also rejuvenated.
