Ski Jumping Stadium
Japan's first parallel Jumping hills have
been constructed at the southern tip of Happo-one
Ridge in Hakuba.
With critical points of 120 m and 90 m, each
features a scaffold structure for both the
in-run and Landing slope , unique among ski
jumps. These all season ski jumps can also
be used in spring and summer.
Alpine Venue
The Champion and Panorama courses at Happo-one
ski area are intended for alpine events.
It's starting point is at an altitude of
1680 m with separate courses for men ( vertical
drop of 840 m ) and women ( vertical drop
of 779 m).
The downhill course is available for super
giant slalom by lowering the altitude of
the starting point.
Cross-Country Venue
Cross-Country events are scheduled for the
Mikka-ichiba and Uchiyama districts in southern
Hakuba. Three courses with a combined length
of 19 km, are connected to the main site
which serves as start and finish points.
Athletes will compete on 5 to 50 km -long
courses that have been created by combining
the three courses . The courses here are
said to be some of the most difficult and
challenging in the history of the Olympics.
