This volcano is in Mexico, it is snow capped on the top. The volcano is also known as popo which means "smoking mountain" it is 13,776 feet, the volcano is on top of another volcano that was already 12,464 feet popo was built on that earlier volcano. Popo has erupted 36 times in the past five years.
    The aztecs used this volcano to sacrifice the intruders that came from other tribes. The volcano is a stratovolcano, which is a volcano composed with lava flows and pyroclastic material. There are villages still in the area that is threatened by the volcano, but will not leave because that is where their ancestors lived and they didn't fear the volcano.
