Volcano web Site
Volcanos are a beutiful site but there a deadly site also. There
are three kinds of volcanos. Shield volcanos Cynder Cone volcano, and
Composite volcano. The Shield volcano shoots streight up and out . The
Cynder Cone volcano shoots strieght up. The shield volcano flows from the
top of the volcano.
Lava comes from volcanos. When lava is under the ground its called magma.
Lava(magma) is the hotest thing on the earth today. Thousands of people
are killed all over the world by volcanos. Up to 92,000 people have died
in a single volcano. Volcanic desasters even happen here in the United
States.
Mt. St. Helens eruption killed houndreds and thousands of animals and plant
life. The eruption blew the whole side of the volcano off. Volcanos are
a beutiful thing but theres a price that comes with it and thats death.
Scientists still study vocanos today. There are still tons of things we
can learn from volcanos.
One of the two volcanos I'm going to tell you about is Mt. St. Helenes.
Mt. St. Helens is located in Washinton. This volcano is still active today.
It has erupted 19 times in the 80's. One of St. Helenes eruptions was so
powerful it blew the side of the volcano off. The eruption killed houndreds
of animal.
May 19,1980 wa
the worst volcanic desaster in the history of the United States. It was
one of the biggest eruptions from St. Helenes recorded. The biggest killer
was the ash flow from the volcano.Anything near St. Helenes when it erupted
was dead. If the ash flow dident kill it the lava (magma) did.
The other one Im going to tell you about is located near Naples, Italy,
in a region where the African plate meets the Eurasian plate. Mt. Vesuvius
is famous for a violent eruption in 79 which destroyed the towns
of Vesurius, Italy.
On 16 December 1631 between 6:00 and 7:00 am an unexpected eruption came
from Mt vesuvius. Darkness fell over the entire area around the volcano,
and there were continuous earthquakes During the eruption many people died
during this eruption. Scientists are still studying volcanos today. There
keeping a constant watch on Mt. Vesuirus. Thank you for reading my web
page.
