General Information
                on Volcanoes

All around the world there are many active volcano's.  Many people ask "how do we know when the next volcano will hit"?
As more and more and more people come into our vast world, more and more people are living in dangerous volcanic areas.  Many volcanoes all across the world are erupting each and every day.

Volcanoes can be very neat to look at but at the same time they can be one of Mother Nature's most deadliest forces
Mt. Rainer, a volcano that looks over the Seattle/Tacoma area,  putting a population of more than Three million people in it's balance.  Nearby another volcano called Popocate'petl is coming back to life putting another one million residents in danger.  Another million people that live in the Naples area are but to risk by Mt. Vesuvius's brutal force.  Plans are needed urgently.

Some people get "magma" and "lava" mixed and sometimes they say that they are the same thing, there not.  Magma is lava below the earth's crust inside the volcano whereas lava is magma on the earth's surface.  Lava can come in different "flavors" or compositions.    Since rocks are made up of many minerals that melt at a variety of temperatures,  the lava can be made into diffrent colors. An example of a diffrent colored lava is pahoehoe.
