Hazards Of
Volcanoes
Some hazards of volcanoes are
maybe your house burning down. We need to know what to do when there is
a volcano. Many things can happen in your environment from an earthquake.
Volcanoes can release gases, tephra, and heat into the atmosphere. Lava
can also flow away. Some gases can be transported away and replaced with
other things that form. There can be debris avalanches, landslides, and
tsunamis. Debris avalanches are formed when an unstable slope collapses
and debris is transported away from the slope. A landslide is just a lot
of mass movement. Another hazard called a tsunami is produced from landslides
and debris avalanches.
