June 9: Nic under fire for ... holding a Pepsi can?
Every once in a while you read something that is a total waste of your time and leaves you wondering WHAT was the writer thinking? This is exactly what happened to me when I read this. This is what happened (the story is slightly modified to make it more interesting....hey don't be mad at me, the media does it ALL the time!!). Nic is walkin' down the street as happy as can be. He decides, "I'm gonna show some support for my girlfriend, Faye!," so he holds up a Pepsi can. UH-OH!! The media makes a frenzy and blows everything out of proportion, making the simple action of holding up a Pepsi can (maybe he didn't really hold it up to support Faye, maybe he was thirsty???) seem like he was rebelling against Coke (he is the Coke spokesperson). As a result of this, rumours spread everywhere saying that Nic might lose his job as Coke spokesperson. Does anyone else think that this story is ridiculous? Personally, I feel sorry for Nic who has these reporters following him everywhere. It seems as if those reporters just had nothing else to write about. Maybe next time they'll make a story about how he was holding an Adidas shoe instead of a Reebok one~ which is REALLY bad because he designed a shoe for Reebok rite? Get real ! Those reporters should get a life and maybe they'll write better stories instead of wasting our time!!
