Noordin's 'confidant' arrested in C. Java
The antiterror squad arrested Thursday a bus passenger in Boyolali, Central Java,
believed to be another accomplice of most-wanted terrorist Noordin M. Top.
Antara news service quoted a police source as identifying the man as Subur Sugiarto
aka Abu Mujahid, a 35-year-old resident of Kaliwungu in Kendal regency.
In the last six days police have arrested four other men, also suspected to be part of
Noordin's group, from separate locations but all in Central Java towns.
Meanwhile Detik.com said police also confiscated a bag belonging to the suspect in
which there were books, a sharp weapon, VCDs and a tape recorder.
Subur confessed to the police that he was from the Semarang Network and tasked,
along with the other four men, to recruit new members for their jihad cause. --JP
