Police Release Terrorist Suspect
TEMPO Interactive, Solo: The Indonesian Police freed Sahal Al-Amri, aka Sunarto aka
Narto, 31, who was arrested by the Special Anti-terrorist Squad 88 in Poso, Central
Sulawesi, a week ago. According to Sahal's attorney from the Muslim Defender's
Team, Ahmad Michdan yesterday, Sahal's release was due to the failure of the
investigators to find evidence of Sahal's involvement in hiding Noor Din M. Top.
Sahal is a mentor in the Amanah Islamic boarding school in Poso. The police are
certain that Sahal is connected with Subur Sugiyanto, who has been arrested and
suspected of being Noor Din's right-hand man. Imron Rosyid
