Welcome to Solstheim, outlander; the most frigid, forbidding land on this side of Tamriel! Once home only to several native Nord tribes, the Empire has come in recent days to colonize this frozen island for, above all else, its ebony ore mines. But even as the Empire sows its Imperial law here, trouble is brewing on Solstheim. A long-feared prophecy of the Nothmen seems to be unfolding. The horkers fall dead by the dozens, the moon grows red, and the howl of dreaded werewolves can be heard in the dark distance. You must decide if the prophecy is to come true. You may side with the Northmen, and stand against the evil beasts, or join the ranks of the werewolves and indulge in the hunt...
Hint:
If you decide to submit to the side of evil and join the werewolves in their quest for blood, be prepared for a difficult initiation. The first mission you complete for Hircine requires you to repel a large scouting party from a location of importance single-handedly. But, in werewolf form, you cannot use any inventory items or spells, including those of healing powers. So, if your character hungers for the flesh of humankind, beware that it may lead to his demise.
