Tactical Discussion on the Gundam Sandrock |

|
A close combat Gundam like the Deathscythe, the Sandrock uses power and armor to kill the enemy, rather than speed and stealth. The Sandrock is the heaviest armored of the original five Gundams, as well as the strongest. Designed primarily for desert fighting, the Sandrock has few long range weapons. The Sandrock is also very slow, but it is a slow walking tank, able to crush the enemy once they are within striking distance of the Sandrock's heat shorters.
Weapon Analysis:
2x vulcan - head mounted, light machineguns, these are generally ineffective medium range anti-Mobile Suit weapons.
2x homing missile - the only long range weapons in the Sandrock's arsenal, these can completely annihilate a Mobile Suit. |

2x heat shotel - the Sandrock's main weapons, these heated blades can cut through enemy armor like butter. Able to be thrown, they supply the Sandrock with deadly close and medium range abilities.
2x shield flasher - the "eyes" of the Sandrock's shield can brighten intensely, blinding the enemy long enough for the Sandrock to move in for the kill.
1x cross crusher - by assembling the two heat shorters, backpack unit, and the shield and affixing it to the Sandrock's left arm, this forms a pincer-type weapon that can grab an enemy Mobile Suit and crush it into two halves. |
