Editorial: The Land of the Free...
Merry Met All!
I sit here in our tavern sipping coffee and just have finished the
morning mail. I'm doing the Gateway's editorial here simply because I want
this to be a public document...it will perhaps explain more about us to the
curious and cast a little 'fear of the gods' on the tyrant RPG 'Lords' out
there who may pass this way.
Too bad the new (to RP's and our fair Union) as well as the tyrants
won't see the entire update...if ye be among these please write and I'll be
sure to forward ye an issue!
Our Union proudly displays our Declaration of Universal Entity
~ http://www.oocities.org/lordmontahon/doe.html ~ as the first text in our
Library. Without being repetitive it very simply states we do exist and will
support any of your freedoms only to the point of the next persons. As
eloquent and wordy as our IRL nation's Declaration of Independence may be
these same basic ideals are mirrored by our DoUE and surely the latter may
never have existed were it not for the former! With all its faults and
problems ours is surely a great land and it is an honor to be a citizen of
this grand 'guild' as well!
For this we graciously salute the US and UN Armed Forces for protecting
these freedoms and assuring the spirit of freedom shall not disappear from
the face of the earth. Few will argue all our government's battles have been
fair or just or even sane...but we speak not of them now. This goes to the
solitary soldier who has sworn to defend our country at all costs, whose
inner most creed is 'mine is not to wonder why, mine is simply do or die.'
Consider the ramifications of this simple statement. Some could never make
it but those who do do so freely and with the greatest conviction. Honor and
respect these people for if ye live in the free world it was and is these
extraordinary people who have seen all your freedoms are a reality!
Our very own Knights now face the same challenge. Not to belittle any
efforts of the US/UNAF for surely the life and death they face is very real
but I have gone with our PC 'freedom fighters' as they are attacked and
ridiculed in the various RPG forums on the net. Yet, the word is being
spread and new members tired of the RPG tyrants (such as 'ImPoTeNt KiLLa
NyTe!') are coming to our fair land more and more each day!
Please write if the ranks of the Knights interest you. Though not so
mortal a declaration as those made by IRL warriors it is still an honorable
one. Join us in our fight against oppression for surely that is what our
Union is all about! The realms of Alhanzar (link below) and Diaspora have
already seen the capabilities of our Union and, as we establish strongholds
there, others shall soon follow!
So I finish my cup and sit in our lovely Tavern, considering the tasks of
the day realizing, were it not for the amazing people afore mentioned, this
all would be an impossibility! I simply am exercising freedoms I all too oft
take for granted. Today I do not! Thank you all everywhere!

to ensure our freedoms:
"None shall fall by my sword without just cause but, when they fall, THEY
WILL FALL!"
Not all our Knights are good by alignment but all are lawful. This long
ago took this as their motto and creed.

Adventures in Alhanzar
Mystery, Magic, Vicious killer rabbits, These are all part of the
mystical Realms of Alhanzar . A game wich has captured my mind and is
forceing me to play for hours on end. This game is fun at its worst and
unbelivably addictive at its best. It may be cartoon like but it is still a
wonderfull game. You can start off with any assorrtment of characters, from a
barbarian worrior to a Grey elf Wizard to a Hafling assasin, Yes one of the
choices is that of an urbanite knight. The game starts you in front of the
collage where you learn more about the relms and how to interact with them.
Your first battles will most likely be fought in the crazed rabbit pound.
This game is filled with humor and comedy to no end. Even the NPCs are
somtimes humorus. This game is actualy a very cool game and i would like to
thank lord monty for introducing it to me. I would suggest this game to any
who like RPGs.

Yes, 'NyTe' is a fictional character but one I use to describe the real
threat to new and alone gamers in most FFRP's and MMRP's on the net. Union
before was gaining a strong foothold in many of these and frankly we were
beginning to be as well loved by newbies as we were feared and hated by the
tyrants!
Do take advantage of the free 90 days in Alhanzar and see exactly
what I mean as we pass by these people, opressed and tyrant alike, and show
our true metal! I am on Yahoo Messenger (lordmontahon) as we traverse these
lands and, yes, we can voice chat as we play! If you go alone please take
care and share my YM name with any interested...we will make a difference
there and the net over!
