Merry Met! Another exhausting and rewarding week ending finds me beginning another day (yes, I'm running behind again!) and well pleased at tbe events of another week's works!
I want to state from the onset my add in the personals is gone, mayhaps permanently, as I happily announce my IC courtship to Chyna Drake, Lady of Rotsim, which began just last night! We have much in common and share the burdens and joys of leadership, both overseeing our lands to our greatest ability!
I want to say here, and hope M'Lady is nae embarassed or angry, but our impromptu 'first date' was truly a blessing and to me and a long needed reprieve to the daily duties set before me!
There has long been a need to inject some fresh material in the Classifieds so do look it over. ImPoTeNt KiLLa NyTe has even submitted one this week!
I will be leaving AOL at least a time this week but fear not! I shall return on MSN and mayhaps shall choose AOL as a cable service should I nae be pleased with any of the modem ISP's which seems to be the consensus of all I've spoken with in the know on this matter. I will have AIM with which to vist ye still on AOL...just realize an IM request from AlexMontahon is not a request to visit a porn site!
Oh, the topic! LtW Sarex brought to my attention we 'Yanks' are not the only with a sense of national pride for our the freedoms and liberties granted by our homelands...well said LtW. No, by far in this realm of 'reality' we are among many diverse cultures who are free and share the same love of liberty!
It is a brave people, our lot, who will brave ridicule and subversion (and often IRL death!) to see these freedoms remain and grow. The same spirit exists in Union with many and their tales will be told through the ages as they are currently in our histories. Like IRL history Union is 'autobigraphical' in that those few who step forward leave their mark to be continued in our annals and also our place in IRL history as well!
Most in Union are as those in any society...they are here but little noticed...and will be passed by the sands of times with little fanfare had in their passing. That is not to say they are any less important, for all have their place in the scheme of things, but are as normal, everyday people in any reality.
Still a common belief we all share is that, above all things, freedom is one gift we hold very dear. The freedom to 'live' in a safe environment, the liberty to speak our minds on near any topic and the rights to do near anything save deny others their rights!
Now many may disdain my portrayal of ebonics ("don' be axin' me 'bout no ebonix") but it is a fact it is the chosen 'dialect' of many a 'child' on the net who we find are PK's, 'murderers' and 'rapists' on the internet. This is no racial slur for I am certain the propensity of 'PiMp DaDiE DaWgZ' and 'MEGA MONDO MURDA' characters prevalent in MMRPG's and a host of FFRPG's are young immature teen very caucasian males who, at discovering the internet, have found a way to supplant their old hobbies of pulling wings off flies and torturing the family pet while listening to 'gangsta rap'. May the gods have mercy on any 'adults' who may be of these ranks!
It is the people they abuse we not only liberate but they themselves we attempt to educate. I'm not going to try to have a battle of wits with an unarmed mind...many a potentially progressive debate has broken down to being 'shouted' at with such scorching epitaths as 'LAMER, LAMER, PANTS ON FLAMER'...but wherever possible I will leave the simple truth that even flies like to keep their wings!
It is with that bravery I speak to thee now. Much of my work this week has been involved in The Consortium Magicka as I pave the way for IRL mages and sages a place in Union. I will add here many coming to Union now are of this persuasion but will nae speak of their craft publicly. Just consider it an extension of our 'fantastic reality'...ye may ne'er know if the witch beside ye in the Tavern is simply RPing!
This has brought a need for a division in the nature of chats and other resources in Union. As it stands now we have our original Anciesta Meeting Place (thanks again Elandra!) for peace loving RP sorcerers, Sarex's Tower (ditto LtW!) for military RP mages and The Collegium Magicka Chambers where any may join but the topics there are IRL magicks! The same shall be applied to RP priesthoods as interest grows but IRL priests know they have a home in the Consortium.
The Consortium Magicka Library is now stocked predominantly with very real magickal resources. Some I hope to increase are texts on LARP and stage magicks, seeing these are also favorites of mine and many, but RPG texts are at the top and all necessary for RP may be found in The Nation of Union/Universal Alliance Library so none may need go to the Consortium at all should they have fear or disdain of the true arts.
As always please visit Union Town and NEW WASHINGTON to support our Alliance by buying there what you'd get somewhere else anyway. Ye may be surprised at the deals I've found ye! And if ever there is sometnig ye wish and can nae find there don't hesitate to ask me...the 'paying' part of my 'job' is going our there to cut deals with new sponsors and is a skill I grow increasingly proficient in!
So many Realities, so many 'Homes of the Brave', so little time! I shall diligently continue to traverse these realms in search of these and shall ever hold dear those who come by my side!

Lord/Lady of the Land (LotL): Union Council post in desperate need of filling! This position currently requires less than three hours work per week and entails:
* Checking all Union Proper and Affiliate Links (Other than the Libraries) to assure they are up to date and in workin order.
High Priest/Priestess: This Post requires assisting Monty in the rebuilding of the Palace Temple and overseeing the recruitment and training of incoming priests. Some ceremonial duties may include conducting marriages and christenings. Applicant should be of sound moral character and tolerant of the beliefs of others.
Union Knights: Always 'hiring'! please read the handbook at the Library and now in the Knights' Keep ('runes' above). If ye have the metal and courage to join us, please do! No duties required but rank may be gained swiftly for: Tavern Hosts, FFRPG Proctors, Game Masters and Recruiters,to name a few. Please send an application or letter stating your interest.

Mage Mayhem's Robes Truly magical! These appear as normal robes with a hood but become 'faceless' when reversed. Rare and no longer available (for now!), these are in Union royal purple and drop 48 in from the shoulder. Write Monty with an offer!
