JINX!
Hello Everyone! Argh! I hate being late, particularly when in so doing the Gateway goes out on a Friday the 13th...not that I'm superstitious...::crosses his fingers::...
This week hasn't seen a great amount of developments in our fair realm proper but has seen many in my greeting of new people and discovering many old ones! For those receiving their first Gateway forgive me!
By way of explanation to all and an apology to those left out, as you see I am still on AOL. (While the reasons for this remain classified lets just say I was given an offer I couldn't refuse!) So here I am spending most of last weekend and all day Monday frantically going through all my old mail and other files and guess what I find among other things in the pile of rubble?
Applications! I'd say roughly twelve folks who have been probably thinking 'sure, free newsletter, blah, blah, bah' Well here it is and a warm and belated welcome to ye! (Seems the 13th may be lucky for some then, huh?!?)
In the 'Monty might jinx hisself Dept.' I'm going to continue to mix the Pagan The Consortium Magicka news just a brief time longer with the Gateway (and for those with their first Gate, the top title is the link!) but MUCH progress has been made to starting a collective effort newsletter for the Pagan UA this week...if ye be interested in both subscribe to both!
An interesting occurence in the Consortium is the ACTIVITY! They are 1/6 the size of Union proper and produce six times the effort and results! Not to put our gamers down...and Union be here for ye!...but there is a sense of mission there as we make plans to use a little 'net magicks' to promote peace and understanding through these realms and the entire Universe!
As always please visit Union Town and NEW WASHINGTON to support our Alliance by buying there what you'd get somewhere else anyway. Ye may be surprised at the deals I've found ye! And if ever there is something ye wish and can nae find there don't hesitate to ask me...the 'paying' part of my 'job' is going our there to cut deals with new sponsors and is a skill I grow increasingly proficient in!

UA Takes Top Sites...Again!
The Consortium is #1 in the Pagan's Arts and Artistry (!!!!!) this week, #7 (at last count) in the OnLine Pagan Networks Top 100 and our Magickal Tavern has moved up to #10 in Yahoo's Top 50 Clubs! Hail all tis I Sir Tigger the lord and I had been chating and I will taking over one of the nights in the tavren...hope to see you all there. Also I would like to be one othe first to welcome our newest member Janie. Monty and I were also talking about starting a Knights chat so any and all knights let us know what you think.

Lord/Lady of the Land (LotL): Union Council post in desperate need of filling! This position currently requires less than three hours work per week and entails:
* Checking all Union Proper and Affiliate Links (Other than the Libraries) to assure they are up to date and in workin order.
High Priest/Priestess: This Post requires assisting Monty in the rebuilding of the Palace Temple and overseeing the recruitment and training of incoming priests. Some ceremonial duties may include conducting marriages and christenings. Applicant should be of sound moral character and tolerant of the beliefs of others.
Union Knights: Always 'hiring'! please read the handbook at the Library and now in the Knights' Keep ('runes' above). If ye have the metal and courage to join us, please do! No duties required but rank may be gained swiftly for: Tavern Hosts, FFRPG Proctors, Game Masters and Recruiters,to name a few. Please send an application or letter stating your interest.

Darthon's Claymore 32 lbs, 62 in, the original sword of Darthon himself, 'battle scars' included! Lord Montahon hates to part with it but shall if a good offer is made!
Mage Mayhem's Robes Truly magical! These appear as normal robes with a hood but become 'faceless' when reversed. Rare and no longer available (for now!), these are in Union royal purple and drop 48 in from the shoulder. Write Monty with an offer!
