The Three Above
'Known by only the mystics and the mages,
the priests of old in company of the sages,
In the heavens battle constantly wages,
between good and foul to continue through the ages.
'Three above would seek to be your master,
So the end of time might come to you much faster,
The warrior, the rogue, the priest and spellcaster,
Must choose one of these for all and hereafter.'
from the music of Darthon Songweaver
The Book of All: Preface
The world is known by names given of those who percieve it. Those of good would call the world "Plaenthkor", reckoning while all gods do exist Plateus is above all and Drothkar is least of these. Converesly, evil denizens deem the planet "Drothanteus" as they seek to sway his will to their favor. Those who seek the balance through Calendon show their sway by naming it "Calethkor" or "Calateus."
From the beginning of time each diety has sought to bring the balance to theirown end. This has brought cataclysmic changes to the heavens and Calethkor: resulting in the creation and destruction of gods, mortals and beasts. Following is a brief account of time: of which only the most mundane of understanding is had only by those who pursue history or spirituality in their deepest, finest forms.
The Age of Awakening
The First gained awareness of all there was to be and created the three dieties so it may be so. These brought forth their children and bretheren for their places in the heavens. The three then set about completing their parts, creating the world then dragons to gaurd their territories thereof.
The Age of Dawning
The Three each gained prominence on Calethkor as they peopled the planet with myriad wonderful beings. Magic and mortality birthed new gods , as well as weapons , wisdoms and wonders unimaginable in the current state of affairs.
The Age of the Lost
Afraid and suspicious of one another the three developed and undertook strategies of war to defeat the others. Most creatures who could gate to other dimensions or whose wonderous fliers could carry them to far away worlds fled the wrath of the gods. Those remaining fought valiantly for their chosen diety but gained no decisive victories and and ultimately watched their homes and families die, either by the mercy of a swift attack or the agony of slow starvation.
After exactly one millenium of warfare the Three simutaneously became aware they had fulfilled the prophecies of the One. Many fell creatures were created by the cataclysm. These knew no allegiance to the gods. Man, short of life and sway in alignment, was created by mutual deree of the Three by treaty, again fulfilling the prophesies of the One.
The remaining Dragons, once uncontested rulers of the world, hid away in defeat and disgust, vowing never to return until one diety might become master.
The Age of Renewal
After the devastation of the prior age the Three returned their own to their original lands. Calethkor became divided continentally by alignment. Knowing little of one another each mortal race sought to improve their lives then slowly began exploring unknown regions. Drothkar then beget Dominions from the souls of the most evil. With their assistance he again made plans to dominate the world.
The Dragon Wars of Union
Drothkar was then able to convince the dark Dragons victory could be had. They joined him in battle and, by surprise attack, very nearly achieved his goals. Many a great battle was fought fiercely but, were it not for the intervention of Plaeteus , all would have been lost. He interceded through the simple but beautiful wood elf Michelana, giving her the meams to call forth the Dragons of good . The party she then assembled (including Darthon SongWeaver) then rallied the people, led their armies in battle then ultimately even drove the Evil back into the wastes of Drothkarion.
The heroes then proposed the Union of all the races of Plateusa be formed to defend against the inevitable return of the enemy.

The Book of All: Beginnings
Plateus, the God of Goodness, who presides over the best of intentions and who made his minions for there compassion, their daring and deeds. They then created their parts of the planet so that all things beheld might be so.
Drothkar, the Deity of Darkness, then set the eternal flames in the skies and beneath the world to proclaim dominion over all, and set the fire in all beings' hearts that they may join in the struggle to rule those who would fall.
Carendon, the Lord of Longevity, then saw the end of things to come and vowed to keep distance between His brethren by creating air and water. His divined purpose was to intervene when any power became greater than the other.
They then set forth to people the planet but fought valiantly one to the other. As Plateus downed the metallic dragons, Drothkar spawned the chromatic ones and Carendon those of the gem. So as the earliest inhabitants of the world continued their struggle, other beings were to be made.
Of the Elves, Plateus divined the high to develop the culture and being of the world. Drothkar developed the drow to seek dominion over the world. Carendon sought balance with the woods and the seas to disperse the nature of these.
Of the Dwarven nations, Plateus set the high to create the foundations. Drothkar drew the dreugar to make these foundations his own. Carendon then made the gully and hill to keep the balance still.
They and their minions then made myriad other beings so that each could be called their own, so that every could be called to any and even so their minions could do the same. They agreed by mutual decree of prophecies that man be created , short of life and insight, to be the balance between the three.

and hold you close in all you do.
May He be with ye now, my friend,
