Below is paraphrased from the original works of Darthon SongWeaver...

Drawn to the cheerful fires seen through the windows of this massive keep you approach, hoping for some refuge from this dark and desolate night. You are greeted at the entrance by Alexander Montahon, Lord Sovereign of Union...

"So you have entered our Domain! Welcome! Whether ye be a member, a newcomer or just a weary traveler please feel free to sit awhile by our fire, have a drink with us and listen to our tales of adventure!"  You enter the stronghold and are motioned to a table about which sit several others of diverse classes. Behind them on the wall hangs a shield, bearing marks of battles you may never know.

Monty continues what seems to have been a long recourse, recanting a tale long past to those gathered before him,

"Our war was long and hard, with many of our members lost or choosing to join the ranks of the gods, forgoing all they knew and loved to continue the fray as best as they could. The conflict remains and must be relived again by new combatants...  time here is a curious, continuous circle where new beings replace those who came before and must themselves find the answers to the many puzzles that is Plateusa. Old gods are discovered, new ones created and a delicate balance has been maintained...so far. Let me quote the tale of our last Lord, that of Darthon, founder of our Union, shortly before his untimely end...

"I, Darthon, was given the chance to become the God of Music but refused, wanting to live a mortal life with my precious wife Sara. Alas, she was killed shortly after this poor choice of fates. I still seek peace with the gods but must say I hold much against them, particularly Drothkar, the God of Evil, whose minions destroyed my beloved mate."

Darthon then stared a long moment at the fire. "But this is all past. I have grown old and weary of the fray. If you will, you might go to relive the battles I most often won but the greatest too terribly failed. The rest is best left up to you."

Heard by no mortals, a joyous anthem resounded throughout the heavens that night...for there they knew what was yet to transpire...

"The Lord of Song has touched my soul, his song melodic makes me whole. This man of music sings to me his words of wisdom set me free. So let us sing our words are free, together, such sweet harmony."  by the Goddess Sara

You can join Union by writing Lord Montahon or by visiting the application page on this site...just be sure to specify as much as you will and who (if anyone) sent you or how you found us!

Union is a group of gamers interested in several fields...RPG, CCG, LARPG, on-line, computer, and others.  The Nation promotes play on all levels, offers opportunities to create and participate in conventions, tournaments and local events; publishes newsletters and other publications; and, for those interested, provides a means of sharing their skills as game masters, writers, artists and programmers to name a few.

Union (though not yet so named), from its humble beginnings of but a few players who wanted to visit a new world of epic battles, has grown to encompass a 30+ module campaign (still roughs on paper), two more in the works, a computer game and live action role play. I myself have been creating Plateusa for over 20 years (and as such give my age away!). Membership is nationwide and ever increasing.

Union was established in March 1993 in Spartanburg, SC (or so it was said in this strange realm!) but has existed in one form or another for much longer. The central theme of our Nation has been the protection of Plateusa, the last bastion of good on our world of Pleanthkor.

"If you await the passage of each coming day, there you are and there you'll stay, Give your best in all you do, And see what you've wrought when each day's through."
