But he answered and said,
It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone,
but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

Matthew 4:4

God's Word is fresh every time we open it.  We read a passage we know we've read many times before, yet suddenly it says something new to us--something which surely must have been there all along, but somehow we'd missed it in all our previous readings.  It doesn't conflict with what we had read all those months or even years before--it broadens or refines our understanding.

God speaks to us through His Word.  We meet with Him there.

All scripture [is] given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for
doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

2 Timothy 3:16-17
