Advantage to Home Child Care

Loving Arms Child Care is located in Clearwater, Florida, and provides a preschool program for parents who prefer an in-home provider who is, loving, provides a safe environment, with personalized care for a small group of children from birth to school age.

I believe it is my job to prepare children for the real world, their early years as preschoolers and for Kindergarten. Not only do I teach them the skills they will need for school, but more importantly I teach them the things all humans need to learn to be good, kind successful young people and hopefully they will carry these lessons into thier adult years. These are to be kind to others, to share, to be caring, how to develope friendship, proper manners and table manners, and to always be honest. To always try to treat other people the way they would like to be treated themselves.

The only successful way I have found for children to learn this is to model these traits and qualities myself. I do this by treating them with love, speak honestly and in a gentle voice and by respecting them and thier needs and feelings every day they are in my care. I also show them respect and ask for respect in return. I show them how to set health boundries for themselve.

The kids get a well rounded experience while they are in my care by having both structured times of learning and free time to play and express themselves. I make sure that the children that I care for eat healthy, well balanced meals and snacks. I also make sure that the children get plenty of water to drink. Did you know that it has been proven that children who do not get sufficent amounts of water daily do not have proper brain development?

Some of the activities that we do

Table and floor activities, such as coloring, puzzles, crafts, painting and blocks.
Large Muscle Development: Skill such as dancing, outside play time climbing, sliding, ball, hoola hoop, bikes and more.
Fine Muscle Development: Skills such as pre writing skills, clay play, scissor use, bubble blowing, sand and water play.
Early preschool lesson plans such as: ABC's, colors, shapes, animals, the four seasons, and learning to write thier name.
All of this is done in small groups where I can give each child individual attention.
