Governor Ramoncita Ong is a Bachelor's in Business Administration graduate of the University of Sto. Tomas, Manila. She succeeds her husband, the Former Governor Edgardo Ong, to the stewardship of the province when she won the 2001 elections.

The lady governor is active in civic work. Among the positions she held were as President of the Aurora Ladies Association, Inc. and as Chairperson of the GSP-Aurora Council, the Provincial Task Force on Clean and Green and the Provincial Nutrition Council.
