Not long before my anniversary last year, my grandmother turned 80. The photo below shows four continuous generations. My grandmother in the centre with my mother over her right shoulder. I'm holding Melanie with Erik standing in front of me. Nanny & Erik are the only ones looking at the camera and Erik didn't happen to want his picture taken.
