Notes and Biographical Info
Kai came to Canada from Denmark in October of 1956 with his wife and six of his seven children, the eldest remaining behind with his fiancée settling first in Kingston area, and then to Richmond Hill. He worked at a variety of jobs during his life, many short term, as varied as Furnace Repairman and Steel Worker.
After the death of his wife in 1981, Kai sold their home and purchased a small camper van, travelling to various parts of Canada to sightsee and to visit his children - now scattered from Ontario to British Columbia and one even to the United States - before finally settling down in Frankford, Hastings County Ontario several years before his death.
Kai's grandchildren are scattered even more widely than his children.
