We stayed at the Lawrence Welk Resort and based all our activities from HQ in a nice hospitality room. In the four days we only had two scheduled activities and the rest was left up to the individuals. It was really nice because everyone got to pick the activities that interested them the most. On one day a lot of us just hung out at the pool. The package we received included the resort buffet breakfast every morning that was fantastic. If you left hungry, it was your own fault.
The highlight of the week was a dinner/show aboard the Branson Belle. One of our own was chosen to participate in the show which made it that much more enjoyable for us. I will add some pictures of this event as soon as I can.
Once again, a great time was had by all and we had some new people show up this time. Remember, these summer gatherings are open to the whole crew as well as the regular reunion. We do this because some of our shipmates can not, for one reason or another, get away in the fall. Next year we are going to San Antonio, TX from June 25-29. Details will be included in the March newsletter. Please consider joining us there. By the way, Tom Green County is only a 3 hour drive from San Antonio and we may schedule a day trip to San Angelo for those that missed the first reunion.
