Cruise 5 - 2003 Memphis Gathering
The gathering in Nashville in 2002 was such a success that it was decided to make it an annual event. Memphis was chosen for 2003.
Highlights of the weekend included a trip to Graceland (I think it is against state law not to visit Graceland if you stay with 50 miles), nightly entertainment alongside the pool and a wonderful picnic hosted by Lu Troutmans daughter and son-in-law at their home.
Julian and Loretta Stockton came all the way from Colorado. Julian works for Coors and they donated 20 cases of beer for our weekend. Coors supports veterans functions so keep that in mind the next time you are buying a six pack.
We were also joined by several shipmates from cruise 6. At our roundtable discussion it was decided that at all future gatherings, all shipmates from any cruise would be invited to join us. We also picked Pigeon Forge as our next stop for 2004.

This picture was taken for the Coors people and made it into the company newsletter. There were very few beer drinkers at the picnic but it was such a great gesture on Coors part that we wanted to give them something back. We want to thank Coor's and Julian Stockton for doing this for us.
