GREAT BOOKS ABOUT REAL STRENGTH
                                  AND REAL TRAINING

If you are one of the growing many who is tired of commercial gyms, body builders, half-hearted trainers who complain about no gains, and social lifters, then you need to read a few of the great books out there about strength and real lifting for real world strength.

First of all, here's the book that got me going on the right path.  I was just starting to train grip and lift stones, and was trying to find more information about this lifting style and life style.  I had found nothing and felt rather lost until I finally ordered the book.  It was an incredible read and it solidified my stance on lifting.  I have never looked back and I wish I could personaly thank Mr. Kubik for the inspiration.  The Book:

  "DINOSAUR TRAINING"
                                          Brooks D. Kubik

"Lost Secrets of Strength and Development".  This book is great because it speaks word for word what is in many strength trainers heart, from the fustrations of commerical gyms and "modern" training, all the way to what real strength is and how to achieve it.  The book goes into detail of everything from sand bag and barrel lifting, to grip training, thick bar, and the real truth about heavy, hard work combined with gradual progression as the fundamental backbone of strength and size.  This book is awesome for starting towards Dinosaur training and real strength.

"SUPER STRENGTH"
                                                 Alan Calvert

This is another amazing book about Super Strength, or the incredible, almost mythical, strength of the old time strongmen and the truth behind their strength and training:  Any one can do it.  Mr. Clavert, a dedicated strength historian and passionate fan of the Iron game takes the reader step-by-step through training for super strength.  The fundamentals he speaks of are still completely true today, even though the book was published in 1924!  This just confirms that nothing beats training heavy, lifting hard, and eating right.  This book is great for learning these basic lifts and training techniques, and the pictures are wonderful for anyone looking to expand their knowledge of Iron history.

                                         "SUPER SQUATS"
                                          Randall J. Strossen

"How to Gain 30 Pounds of Muscel in 6 Weeks".  Anyone who thinks they can't get bigger and stronger needs to read this book and understand what it is saying.  The message is not new, as it's been a technique for almost a century, but the clear and concise method put forth in this book is worth trying.  More so, it separates the men from the boys when it comes to real lifting and real gains.  Even if you arn't looking to gain a lot of weight, the knowledge of super squats is priceless, to encorporate into your training or to help others.

"MASTERY OF HAND STRENGTH"
                                                         +
                             "THE GRIP MASTER'S MANUAL"
                                             John Brookfield

Essential for anyone who wants to train grip.  Both books offer the best advice and training methods for developing sronger hands.
