Hitomi, the main character of Escaflowne. She's kinda annoying with all her visions and fainting, but I suppose that can't be helped. I think she's one of the best female leads in anime. She's not always getting saved by the guy she likes (instead it's the other way around), and she's a sporty kind of gal. I can't wait to see the suicidal side of her in the movie.

Hi, I made this page for anybody who might have wondered about the person behind this Taichi shrine and I figured there might be since one of my favorite parts of a website is the page on the webmaster/webmistress. Hope you don't mind, but I may have gone on a little longer about myself than I intended since I'm pretty self-absorbed. :)

Likes: I like talking with my close friends, playing most sports, and collecting just about anything. I love collecting stuff. I even collected those Got Milk ads but we didn't have that many magazines so that came to naught. I don't own that much anime stuff though and you'd think I would but I am selective. Despite what you might believe, I really don't find anime all that great. A lot are simply horrible. And even those with rather cute storylines have bad, cheap-looking animation. But out of the thousands of anime out there, there are some decent ones and I try finding these.
Faults: I have a hard time saying no, I can't make up my mind on anything and I have a terrible memory.

Favorite Anime: The Vision of Escaflowne (I own the limited edition box set, get them while you still can!) No series comes close to this one!
Favorite Anime Guy Do you really have to ask? It's Taichi of course! The only anime site I make and it's a shrine to this big-haired bishounen. :) My second favorite anime guy would have to be the entire male cast of Escaflowne with the exception of perhaps Zongi. Nah, even he was kinda cool.
Favorite Book: Pride and Prejudice
Favorite Movie: It's a tie between Moulin Rouge! and Dogma. Both are very well done and damn funny.
Favorite Music Group: Offspring (While I only like probably around 40% of their music most bands/singers are only able to offer one or two songs to my likings so 40% is an extremely good number).
Anime I really want to see: Escaflowne the Movie: A Girl in Gaea, Here is Greenwood, Hime-chan no Ribon, Love Hina, Jubei-chan: Secret of the Lovely Eyepatch, Spirited Away, To Heart and DN Angel (which is only a manga but I still want to read it).

My Comments On This Site: While the number of visitors to this site has declined dramatically this still gets way more visitors than any of my other sites. I guess Digimon is simply just too popular. I hope you liked the simple layout of this site. I usually work with frames or a side bar but I decided since this was a rather small shrine I would keep things to a minimum. I know some of you may have asked yourselves, why a blue theme? I thought Tai's color was orange. Well, I like blue and orange would have blinded a lot of people. Can you imagine how bad a completely orange shirt would have looked on Tai or any for that matter? (Sorry Izzy) Well, it's the same thing. I like orange, I really do, but only in small dosages. This site started out really as just a single page on a site I was making, and looked very similar to the About Tai page, but then I just kept adding info and decided it needed it's own site. I had so much fun gathering pictures and information about Tai that I completely abandoned the other site and concentrated all my attentions on this one. Heh, Taichi can do that to a person.

Some Other Info:The first time I ever saw an anime show was when I was flipping through the channels in third grade and saw Sailor Moon. It had a really cute guy on there (Jadeite) so I decided to keep on watching. Even though I got hooked on that show, I didn't really bother to get into other anime shows because of it, nor did I have the kind of friends that might have introduced me to the wonderful world of anime. I didn't really find out what anime was exactly until three or four years ago, and I didn't really get into it until this past year. Ironically I don't like Sailor Moon that much anymore due to less exposure and aggravation with series that have tons of filler episodes and "baddies of the day".

The Final Word: I am a very open person, and will like just about anything and can be forced into liking something. I can even listen to country and like it. Of course it works the opposite way because I can be deathly opposed to something and nothing will change my mind. You know I just confused myself there. Ack! Okay, the final word is that I am a very confusing person, or a simple one who just likes to think she is confusing (I should probably edit this whole part out if I don't want to sound like a total idiot. *shrugs* It comes out sooner or latter I guess).
