Entry 3
Those first few centar's I spent alone out there in space, were probably
the most grueling I had spent in a long time. The Cylon had hit my
vipers' control system's, and I could not shut down my
engines, which were locked on the turbo's. It was one wild ride.
Let my tell you. I couldn't help think about you, Ara. Remember the time we took
the Vacation back on Piscon? You fell in the water after we went on that hike.
Can you remember how scared I was when I saw you float up face down?
I thought about that time, and I wondered if we were about to see each other again.
Then I remembered my mother back on Leosia. I knew then what I had to do.
Chapter 3: Deliverance
As the sparks filled the cockpit of Orion's Viper, he desparetly
beat at his systems trying to unlock the turbo on his engines. Finally giving up on trying
finese, he reached down pulled the panel off the console in front of him,
reached in and pulled several wires out. The cockpit immediatly filled with the deafening sound of silence.
Orion then reached over and removed the panel from the Com unit and once more he began pulling out wires
this time he replaced them as well.

"Captian Rainer!" Rainer hit his comm button, "Go ahead, Triton." "Rainer, I am picking up a transmission from Orion!"
Rainer's head jerked up, "WHAT! What frequency!" "Can't tell its coming in over several at the same time. I'll patch it through to you."
As Rainer waited the few tense moments for the broadcast to be patched from Triton's Viper, he watched as the few remaining Raiders were destroyed
He looked around to find a battlestar to refuel on but the space surronding him was empty expect for a few Vipers, Most of which were from the the Galactica
"Oneias, this is Rainer do you read?" "Oneais, here Cap. What's up?"
"My scanner's shot where's the nearest Battlestar?"
"Sorry Cap, my scanners are shot too." "Great Form up on me, Oneais, Triton you got that patch working yet?"
"Sure do Cap Patching it through now." As the broken message filled the cockpit, Rainer looked out on the battlefield
and saw the debris field, spreading outward. He turned his head back to the message ignoring the fires raging on the larger pieces of debris,
debris large enough to only have come from the Battlestars.
".........DAY..MAY....ENGINES LO....... TURBO. MAYD...MA...REQUEST ....IATE
ASSISTAN..." "Triton can you get a bearing?" "Yes sir, heading 6789 mark 36."
"Rainer to All Red Squadron Atlantia Pilots, form up on heading 6789 mark 36, one of our boys needs our help."

Orion sat back, the com unit somewhat repaired, he kept repeating the message over and over again.
Finaly after what seemed like an eternity, "Orion do you read? Captain Rainer to Orion do you read?"
Orion jerked up in his cockpit, I read you cap loud and clear, where are you?"
Coming up on heading 6789 mark 36, we can't find you, can you do something to show us where you are?"
Orion reached out and hit his laser cannon, the blackness of space lit up as the twin turbolasers ignited and sent a barrel of light streaking
away from his Viper. "Orion we have you in sight, Can you give me a damage report?"
"Rainer, my engine controlls have been hit, I am down to manuverring thrusters only, I need some major repairs."
"Captain," Oneais's voice cut over the comm line, "scanner shows a planetoid in orbit of that star it has atmosphere."
"You want to land on that rock, and conduct repairs right? Well what choice do we have. Orion can you make it there?"
I can land but I don't have the Solium to take off that is assuming we can get my engines repaired."
"Orion, what choice do we have." "Good point Captain."
As the Vipers changed course, for the planetoidOrion looked out the windows "Thank you, Ara."
"What was that Orion I didn't make it out?" "Nothing Captain, just a prayer for deliverance."
"Say one for me." Orion smiled, "Coming up on the planetoid, atmosphere reads as breathable," Oneais's voice filled his cockpit,
"hey Orion, I hope you have been practicing your landings buddy this is gonna be a ruff one."
Orion ignored him, the jibbs at any other time would have gotten a reaction from him, but not today.
As the remaining pilots flew cover Orion manuvered his Viper through reentry, and finaly managed to set it down on the planetoid.
His cockpit opend as the others settled down around him.
"Thats it guys no more fuel." The pilots all gathered around him, each one shaking his hand, "Okay Rainers voice broke the moment, Lets get your bird fixed up so we can get back to the fleet,"
Oneias see about his engines Triton, check his flight systems, the rest of you lets see if we can redistribute the fuel between our Vipers, theres a refueling outpost near here we can stop there back on the way to the Fleet."

After 2 days of repairs The Vipers were ready, as the sun broke the sky on that bleak rock, Orion knew that the Lords of Kobol, were definately looking down on him today.
