First of all let me point out that I am not an expert on American presidential history. The biographies of the presidents reproduced here are those supplied by the White House and the background on the Office of the Presidency was taken from an article published by Encyclopaedia Britannica. In short, I simply researched the data presented here.

The real reason I published these pages was as an exercise in learning HTML, the language used in writing web pages. The subject of America's early presidents interested me, so I chose it.

I would like to officially acknowledge the White House, for providing the biographies, as well as all the other presidential websites where I found many of the links reproduced here.
