SYNOPSIS: Foreign correspondent Carey Jackson finds himself re-assigned as the writer for a home magazine. His new editor is a former girlfriend, Linda Gilman, who has made her way up the business ladder during his absence. Their first assignment is to cover the wedding of an average middle class couple. When Carey, bored by his new task, accidentally throws a wrench into the proceedings he must do his best to repair the damage he has caused and regain his lost love's affections at the same time. An entertaining and engaging comedy in which both Montgomery and Davis shine. Special mention goes to Betty Lynn (who twelve years later would become "Thelma Lou" on The Andy Griffith Show) who does a fine job as the bride's kid sister. Note: Debbie Reynolds makes her film debut in an uncredited role. |
