Synopsis:
Documentary feature about Admiral Richard Byrd's Naval exploratory missions to the Antartic after WWII. The film is comprised of the first color film ever taken of that region, shot entirely by Navy cameramen and narrated by Montgomery, Taylor and Heflin. Very well-done documentary which moves at a brisk pace and won an Oscar as Best Documentary Feature.
