Synopsis: Set in the late 1800's in Scotland, star-crossed lovers Vanessa and Benjie go through trials and tribulations on their way to happiness. Overly melodramatic and poorly scripted, directed and edited, the film often seems more like a high school play than an MGM production. Not at all worthy of it's fine cast. Considering how well Montgomery and Hayes worked together in Another Language, its a shame they weren't given better material for their only other film together. |
