Synopsis: Real-life western outlaw Etta Place, paramour of the Sundance Kid, is perhaps the most mysterious figure in Old West history. Nobody knows where she came from, what her real name was, and perhaps most importantly, what became of her. There are many theories, none of which have been proven. The only known events in her life ocurred between the years 1901 and 1908. All this leaves plenty of room for dramatic license...which is what this film takes as it picks up the story after the deaths of Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid in Bolivia in 1908 (even this, although widely accepted, has never been proven.) We see what might have happened if Etta had been told Sundance was alive and traveled back to their hide-out in Wyoming to see him...all the while pursued by Charles Siringo (another real-life character), a ruthless bounty hunter. Interestingly, rather than focusing on the outlaw life itself, this film looks at the results of outlaw life.
