My secret infatuation (well...not that secret)

I'm not so sure how I came across the sport of hockey, but I do know that I fell in love with it from the very fist instant.  I love the game, the teams, everything about it.  I seriously thought hockey was depleting my social life in high school, but so what if it did.  It was my love for hockey that got me my current job and made me realize what I want to do with my life, a career in sports journalism.  Actually, I just want to work for a hockey team.  I'm not being too picky with what I do, as long as the paycheck says Philadelphia Flyers (just an example) on it.  Actually, the Flyers are my favorite team because of course I root for the hometown first.  I also follow the Philly AHL team, the Phantoms, pretty closely (because I'm at every game anyway, I might as well).  I think it would be an interesting feat to count up all the hours that I've spent theorizing about hockey and seeing where that total comes too.  It  has to be substantial.  I'm the gal that every one comes to when they want to chat hockey, and I'm not so sure if I should be proud of that, but I am.  That said, I don't know very much about the other major sports.  Baseball and tennis are the only other two that I follow  closely.  I'm always free for Phillies chat too, by the way.

Philadelphia Flyers

I watched my first Flyers game, pretty much out of boredom, when I was in junior high, and like any good addiction, it became more frequent and frequent until I couldn't stop.  My first Flyers game was on my 14th birthday (preseason), and I pretty much hyperventilated, like a big loser, when they took the ice.  Since then I've attended several other games and created a website devoted to primarily the Flyers.  Actually, the website has been permanently retired because of the difficult upkeep. Actually, this very website sits on "Lucko's Hockey Loft's" ex-domain. *tear*   Click on the photo to the right to visit the Flyers official website.

Philadelphia Phantoms

I first became familiar with the Phantoms back they won the Calder Cup back in '98 but I didn't really follow them much.  I became reacquainted last year when I started working for the Phantoms Phan Patrol.  I felt like I had to, since I was the only one on the team who didn't know who the Vandermeer brothers are.  But I've come to enjoy them just as much as the Flyers, maybe more at times, and I acknowledge that they are a very talented team.  Click on the photo to the left to visit the team's official site.
