"you dropped this" said Cody handing Maxie a white envelope
"Oh Thanks, I was looking for that" blushed Maxie
"I gotta meet some of the guys for lunch, so I will call you later and we can talk". Cody waved goodbye
Maxie kept staring at him. she thought to herself "okay that was strange, Cody never acts like that around me"
The bell rang: Schools Out.........
Maxie picked her favorite table at Kelly's. She pulled out her history book to make it look like she was doing her homework. She heard the familiar voice coming from behind.
"Nikolas, you know Elizabeth will love my valentines day present" said Lucky with a smile In walked Gia, Nikolas, Lucky, Sarah and Elizabeth.
"Okay okay, the anticipation is killing me here" said Elizabeth wanted to give Lucky a kiss on the cheek but decided against it.
"Be Patient Elizabeth" said Lucky teasingly
Maxie watched them only wishing she was a few years older. She gripped the letter in her hands waiting for the perfect moment to give to Lucky.
"MAXIE!! Maxie Jones!?!" said someone from behind
The sound of her name interrupted her thoughts, she immediatly turned around "Oh um hi Carly"
"I've been looking for you everywhere!"
"You have??" said Maxie sounding confused
"Yes I need a babysitter for Michael tonight, Sonny and I have um special plans for Valentines day".
"Sure tell me the time and I will be there" smiled Maxie
6:00pm Penthouse 4
Mac was a little uneasy about Maxie babysitting at the Corinthos's but he finally agreed telling Maxie a million times to call if something didn't feel right.
Johnny announced Maxie in, Carly came walking down the stairs all dressed up and her pregnant stomach was showing.
"So when is the baby due?" asked Maxie
"The doctor told us July, and we already know Michael is going to have a little sister, he's so excited he can't stop talking about it"
Michael was upstairs watching T.V, Maxie began fumbling through her purse. "Oh no!!! where is it??" the envelope wasn't in there. "I must have dropped it at Kelly's.
Back at Kelly's
"Check Please" said Nikolas as they finished their meal. He noticed Sarah was fumbling through her purse.
"what are you looking for?" he asked
"the letter I wrote to my parents, I know I brought it with me. I was going to mail it right after dinner".
"looking for this?" said Lucky holding a white envelope
"hmmm no this isn't it" she said
"Well aren't you going it open it?" asked Gia eyeing the envelope
"Of course not! it doesn't belong to me" Sarah set the envelope back on the table.
6:45 pm Penthouse 4
Maxie couldn't think of anything but the letter! she had wrote it awhile ago and wanted to give it to Lucky for the longest time, but didn't have enough courage.
"Hello?"
"Hey Maxie it's Cody"
"Cody!!! hi whats up?"
"umm look Max, don't you think we need to talk"
Maxie sounded confused "Well, what exactly do you want to talk about?"
"Can you come read me a story" asked Michael
Maxie smiled at him
"Look Cody, I gotta go! I'm babysitting remember?
"Yeah ok whatever! call me later of something"
Maxie put her cell in her purse and took Michael by the hand and they headed upstairs.
7:00 pm Wyndemere
"Who wants to play basketball?" shouted Lucky
"Oh how romantic is that?!? thats no way to spend Valentine's Day" said Gia rolling her eyes
Elizabeth looked at the floor, remembering that things between her and Lucky have never been the same after what Helena had done to him. Gia looked at Elizabeth and saw the sadness in her eyes.
"Yeah Basketball sounds great!" She put down her purse "I call to be on Nikolas's team" she grabbed the ball away from Lucky.
8:45 pm Penthouse 4
After Michael fell asleep, Maxie continued to look through her purse
"How could I be so stupid??" she said out loud
Maxie imagined the embarrassment she would feel if someone found the letter. She wanted to give it to Lucky directly! or would she have? She always imagined how it would be letting Lucky know how she felt about him. She recalled the story Mac used to tell her about the younger girl that had a crush on him. Only years later when she was old enough every guy wanted to date her.
"One day" Maxie said to herself "One day I will tell Lucky how I feel".
But in the meantime she had to find that letter.
9:00 pm Wyndemere
"Good game" said gia patting Lucky on the back.
"Yeah we totally creamed you" laughed Liz
"Well I'm going to take a shower" said Gia running down the hall, ignoring Liz's comment!
Nikolas Picked up Gia's purse ready to bring it to their room, when he noticed a white envelope on the floor. He picked it up and set it on the table not realizing it had fallen out of Gia's purse.
12:00 am Penthouse 4
Sonny and Carly arrived back pretty late, Sonny had Johnny drive Maxie home. Maxie was having trouble getting to sleep. She picked up the phone and dialed Cody's number.
"Hello?" said Cody sounding tired
"Hi Cody! it's Maxie..did I wake you?"
"It's Ok, I've been meaning to tell you something all day"
"Umm, ok what is it?"
"Well ahh, Happy Valentine's Day"
Maxie started to laugh "Happy Valentine's Day?!? that's what you had to tell me".
"Well yeah" said Cody
"Happy Valentine's Day to you too Cody, thanks...I guess I'll let you get back to sleep, see you tommorrow 2nd period".
After saying bye to each other Maxie laughed to herself, why did she get the feeling that's not what Cody wanted to tell her.
8:45 am Wyndemere
Elizabeth woke up nice and early before everyone else. She went downstairs to their usual spot and looked at the white roses Lucky had given to her. She noticed a white envelope on the table next to them and wondered if it was from Lucky.
"CAN I get you any breakfast Miss Webber?" said Mrs. Landsbury from behind
"Oh Mrs. Landsbury you startled me" said Liz jumping a mile
Mrs. Landsbury entered the room carrying a tray of muffins. Liz set the envelope down and helped herself to breakfast.
"Mmmm is that fresh muffin's I smell?" asked Lucky, as Gia, Nikolas and Sarah entered the room.
They all helped theirselves to fresh muffins and coffee, after chatting for a while Mrs. Landsbury came in the room telling them Kristina was here.
"Hey Kristina" they all said at once
"How's my favorite nephew?" said Kristina with a laugh
"Ahhh come on Kris! you know I don't like being called that, afterall we are like the same age"
Everyone started to laugh
"Well I need someone's advice" began Kristina, she set a HUGE pile of papers down on the table and began
"I need an outfit!! but not just any outfit, this has got to be something so glam the audience won't know what hit them"
"Well you've come to the right place girl" said Gia with a smile
They all talked for a while and made plans to all get together after Kristina's concert.
"Well guys its been fun, but I gotta run, I promised Alexis I would meet her for lunch later on".
After the breakfast trays were cleared away Elizabeth suddenly remembered the envelope. She looked around but it wasn't there.
12:45 pm Port Charles High
“Maxie, wait up!” yelled Cody from half way down the hall. “Where were you in second period?” he asked
“I wasn’t feeling very good” the truth was she was so worried someone at Kelly’s had found the letter she went there looking for it, but had no luck.
“Well I hope you feel better” smiled Cody
The bell rang Maxie knew she had to get to math class, but wasn’t looking forward to it. She wasn’t prepared for the big test. As she walked down the hall she decided she’d skip class and head home.
1:20 pm The Grille
“Kristina! Finally you’re here...I’m starving I didn’t think I could wait any longer” said Alexis half joking
“I stopped by Wyndemere to get some fashion advice from Gia”
Alexis looked down and thought about Chloe, she missed her best friend, hearing the word “fashion” brought back so many memories.
“Yoohoo earth to Alexis?” joked Kristina
“Right let’s order....waita minute, you brought paper work with you?” asked Alexis
“Yeah! I thought I’d go over the concert stuff for tomorrow night” Kristina fumbled through the papers and a white envelope fell out. “Where’d this come from?”
“A love letter from Zander?” said Alexis with a smile
Kristina started to laugh “No way! Zander doesn’t do love letters”.
Kristina and Zander had been together for a while now but he had never once written her poetry or a love letter.
“Well....aren’t you going to open it?” asked Alexis anxiously
Kristina was just about to rip it open when the waiter interrupted.
“May I take your order?” he asked
Kristina set down the envelope and opened her menu. Before she could even order she and Alexis heard screaming from behind. Ned was trying to calm down Skye, her and Jax were having another fight. “We better help him out” said Kristina
“Sorry” Kristina said to the waiter “We’ll be right back”
They both got up and ran over to where Jax and Skye were.
1:40 pm still at The Grille
They finally returned to their table
“I don’t know why Jax even bothers with Skye” said Alexis
Kristina began looking around the table
“Hey where’s that envelope?” Kristina looked under the table
“Forget the stupid envelope....let’s eat already”
2:00 pm Felicia’s house
Maxie opened the door to her house, she knew her mom wouldn’t be home until later and Mac was busy with police work. She sat down and started thinking about Lucky. Does he even know how she feels? if someone found that letter would they show him? Maxie really didn’t want anyone knowing about her crush. Her mom knew and so did Mac, but Lucky and his friends had no clue. She knew if Gia or Sarah found the letter and she prayed Elizabeth wouldn’t that they would show Lucky. She had to stop worrying about it, it was driving her crazy.
2:45 pm The Grille
Alexis and Kristina finished their meals
“Well I’m off to meet Zander at Jake’s, he’s challenging me to a round of pool” laughed Kristina
Jax and Skye were at it again! Alexis just looked at them and said to herself “Thank god Ned and I don’t fight like that”.
Jax was holding a envelope in his hands.
“What’s that!?!?” demanded Skye
“A love letter” laughed Jax “yep you caught me Skye I was going to give it to that beautiful waitress at club 101"
Skye just stared at him
“I don’t even know I found it on the ground, I was about to through it in the garbage” said Jax looking closer at it.
“Gimme a pen” said Skye to one of the waiters
The waiter quickly handed Skye a pen.
“Now, write down where your staying” she said to Jax
Jax knew if he told her where his new place was, things between them would just start up again”
Skye pleaded with her eyes
“Fine, FINE! Skye” Jax took the pen from her and wrote his address on the envelope he was holding
Skye grabbed it from him and took off
3:00 pm Felicia’s house
“Maxie why are you home so early?” asked Felicia as she walked throught the door with Georgie
“Why is Georgie home so early?” mimicked Maxie
“Well Georgie’s school called and she wasn’t feeling good”
“Well neither was I” lied Maxie
“Awww my poor girls, let me feel your forhead”
Maxie pushed Felicia’s hand away “I’m not a baby mom, please leave me alone” said Maxie as she picked up her backpack and headed upstairs
Maxie pulled out her journal and began writing in it
3:15 pm Port Charles Hotel
Skye fumbled through her purse looking for her keys
“Where did I put them?” frustrated she put down her jacket and continued looking in her purse. Finding them she unlocked the door to her room. She picked up her jacket not realizing she left the envelope behind.
3:30 pm Felicia's House
Dear Diary, (February 15th)
4:00 pm Port Charles Hotel
The knock on the door scared Skye half to death. When she opened the door she was even more surprised to see Mac Scorpio.
"ahhh hi commissioner can I help you with anything?" Skye hoped her voice didn't give away the sudden fear she felt
"It's about A.J"
"Oh NO! what about him? is he alright? has Sonny done something to him?" Skye thought she was going to pass out.
"Calm down Ms. Quartermaine, he took Courtney out of the country again and I was wondering if you knew of their whereabouts?"
The truth was Skye had no clue, A.J didn't fill her in on his devious plans anymore.
"Look my brother doesn't tell me anything anymore and besides what is it any of your business anyways?"
"If you hear anything please give me a call" Mac handed Skye his card.
"Right!" laughed Skye
Mac was getting ready to leave when he noticed a envelope on the ground. He picked it up and saw an address on it. He thought this could be a lead as to where A.J was but then noticed it was Jasper Jacks. Without thinking Mac stuck the letter in his jacket pocket.
4:45 pm Felicia's house
"Maxie!!! get down here, come help your sister set the table, Mac will be here soon" yelled Felicia from downstairs
"I thought Georgie was sick" whispered Maxie to herself.
Maxie went downstairs and started setting the table while Georgie lay on the couch watching T.V, Maxie rolled her eyes at her.
"Maxie, you and I are going to have a talk after dinner" said Felicia looking concerned
"What about?!?" cried Maxie
"About you cutting class" said Georgie cutting in
"Shut up Georgie! you don't even know what your talking about"
"I know you got another tattoo without mom's permission".
"ewww I hate you Georgie!!" screamed Maxie
Felicia just stared at Maxie. She was about to say something but was interrupted my the doorbell.
"Mac's here" yelled Georgie flying off the couch.
"Oh your sure feeling better" said Maxie rolling her eyes at her sister.
Mac came through the door.
"Hey girls, how are ya doing?"
"Maxie cut class today" said Georgie smiling
"Georgie was the one who broke the window" smiled Maxie back at her
"Maxie!!! your promised"
"That was before you turned into a total snitch"
"Alright girls thats ENOUGH!" said Felicia "here Mac can I take your jacket?" she continued
Felicia hung the Jacket up in the closet
"So tell me about school" Mac asked Georgie
Georgie went on and on about some group project that she had to do. Maxie ignored what she was saying and looked out the door window.
"We can eat now" called Felicia
Maxie started walking towards the kitchen when her eye caught a white envelope on the floor right below Mac's jacket. She quickly went towards it and picked it up.
"This is it!" cried Maxie, she examined it notcing a strange address on it! she ripped it open just to be sure

Dear Lucky,
"Never feeling so sad in my life I decided to run away, I chose the boxcar because I wanted to be alone. Then you showed up and made me feel a whole lot better. You talked to me and made me understand what its like going through my parents divorce. I knew after that I wanted to see you again, even if it was only for a few seconds. I hung around Kelly's just to see you and talk to you. The truth is Lucky I have had a major crush on you for years. People grow up and change especially when they get older. Maybe one day you will see me as that and not the little girl you once taught how to throw a baseball. I hope in time you will consider getting to know who I am now.
A smile spread across Maxie's face, no one had read it! it had never even been opened.
If only Maxie had known the little journey that small white envelope had taken.
