WHAT IS A REPETITION ON
THE EXER-ROW™ ROWING MACHINE?
The rate at which
you do one complete movement of rowing i.e. by folding your legs completely and
extending the legs completely and again folding your legs completely,
simultaneously pulling the oar-arm completely to your chest and pushing the
oar-arm back, is a Repetition on the EXER-ROW™ Rowing Machine.
WHAT IS THE RATE AT WHICH A REPETITION PER MINUTE IS TO BE
PERFORMED ?
Rate of rowing per
minute is 20 repetitions to achieve Aerobic Norms.
WHAT DOES ONE SET CONSIST OF ?
One set consists of
5 minutes of rowing @ 20 repetitions per minute.
HOW MANY SETS ARE REQUIRED TO ACHIEVE MINIMUM FITNESS LEVEL?
A minimum of 2 sets
with a rest period of 5 minutes is required to achieve minimum fitness
level.
HOW MANY SETS ARE REQUIRED TO ACHIEVE COMPLETE AEROBIC FITNESS
?
To achieve COMPLETE
AEROBIC FITNESS, minimum of 4 sets without rest is the optimum, with a warm-up
and cool-down for a minute each before and after the workout. For COMPLETE
AEROBIC FITNESS, workout on the EXER-ROW™ Rowing Machine has to be done 3
to 4 times in a week.
AFTER ACHIEVING MAXIMUM AEROBIC FITNESS LEVEL, WHAT THEN?
EXER-ROW™ Rowing Machine has an additional power
upgrading system, which is graded as I, II, III & IV on the root of the
oars. So, once you have reached the 20 minute slot or optimum level, your body
is geared up to receive a new set of exercise and this can be achieved by
sliding the clamp situated on the root of the oar-arm upward to setting II of
both the sides. And this starts a new resistance of Rowing routine. It does not
stop here. EXER-ROW™ Rowing Machine has 2 more settings to gear up, to
help reach Olympic Fitness, i.e. setting III & IV.
It is even safer for
beginners, as beginners may experience a pulling of muscle or cramps. In case of
free weights or exercising on a cycle, the resistance or load on the muscles is
interminable and it is not possible to stop immediately in other types of
exercising equipment. But in case of our EXER-ROW™ Rowing Machine, with
self-adjusting hydraulic cylinders, we can stop instantly anywhere and the
cylinders remain in the same position where we stop the action. Also in the case
of our rowing machine, the resistance is related to the speed. As we increase
the speed the resistance is increased and reduces when we reduce the speed of
rowing.
The
EXER-ROW™ rowing machine not only covers the major group of
muscles, but also gives full movement, to all joints of the body, below the
neck, i.e. ankles, knees, hip, wrists, shoulders, thereby giving flexibility to
a range of motion possible around the above joints. It is a very good calorie
burn out up to 15 calories per minute and to maintain fitness level what we need
is a workout of only 20 min., 3 - 4 times a week (body builders, sportsmen, etc.
