He then married her sister, Milburry.
His 3rd wife, Nancy, was the widow of his brother,
Elijah, who was killed in the Civil War.

Had 2 daughters who once resided in Eastern Okla, near Spiro.

Alfred Attaway was a logger who drove an oxen team to pull the logs out of the woods. A very mild natured, easy-going, loveable old guy. He once said that he never whipped his oxen; he merely talked to them, and they would do anything he asked.
