Burial Site
of
John "Henry" Sasser

In 1859, Henry was buried between two trees in a family cemetery.
The photos below are of:
~The old wooden gate to the cemetery, from which you can see the two trees~
~The burial-site cemetery sign, "Dixon Sasser Cemetery"~
~Henry's marker (installed in 1992), which is located between the two trees~
The "Dixon Sasser Cemetery" and the "Sasser-Glass Cemetery"
are located about a half mile apart on the same road.
It is believed by some, that at one time, Henry owned
the property that included both of these cemetery-locations.
Pictured here is a group of
Sasser cousins, walking
down the two-rut trail, from
the hilltop location of the
Dixon Sasser Cemetery.
Pictured here is the graveled
country road to the
Sasser-Glass Cemetery.
