...... John Reece and Deborah Moore are my husband's
ggg grandparents......We don't know how the Joseph/John
mix up occurred but it seems to be rather common.
Joseph Reece was a possible brother or cousin of John
and not the same person. The family Bible of John Moore Jr.
and Elinor Hamilton was transcribed by David G. Moore
in "The South Fork Country News" which is the newsletter
for the Owsley County [KY] Historical Society.
It has the following information:
"John (Reece) and Debora Reece was married July 25, 1848."
This can be found in Issue 1 Volume 1 of the newsletter.
... The Bible ... does confirm birthdate ... for Deborah as 15 Dec. 1819.
